'나무와 풀꽃' 환경교육에 대한 교사, 학생들의 인식

Abstract

본 연구는 자연환경교육 소재 중 나무와 풀꽃에 대한 교사와 학생들의 인식을 조사하고, 학교환경 교육에서 나무와 풀꽃 교육의 효과적인 활용 방안을 모색하는데 그 목적을 둔다. 이 연구의 목적을 위해 초·중등학교 교사 71명과 초·중등학생 223명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하여 나무와 풀꽃에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 조사 내용은 나무와 풀꽃에 대한 환경교육의 적합한 시기, 필요성, 교수-학습방법, 학습도구, 지식의 정도, 흥미 등이다. 본 연구에 사용된 구체적인 분석은 빈도분석(Frequency Analysis)과 교차분석(Chi-square analysis)검정을 활용하여 분석하였다. 유의수준 p<.05에서 검증했으며 통계처리는 SPSSWIN10.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교환경교육에서 나무와 풀꽃을 이용한 자연친화적 환경교육은 학생들의 인성 발달과 생태적 가치관 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 초등학교 저학년이 자연친화적 환경교육에 적합한 시기로 나타났다. 둘째, 나무와 풀꽃에 대한 자연환경교육에서 가장 효과적인 교수학습방법은 체험학습으로 나타났다. 셋째, 나무와 풀꽃 관련 교육을 위한 체계적인 학습도구로 교사들은 지침서를 필요로 하고, 학생들은 나무와 풀꽃 환경교육에 도움이 되는 교육매체로 시각적 비디오 자료를 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 교사들은 나무와 풀꽃에 대한 전문성 신장을 위하여 사회체험프로그램을 통해서 이루어지는 연수를 요구하고 있다. 이러한 연구 결과는 나무와 풀꽃의 체계적이고 지속적인 환경교육이 학생들의 친환경 가치관 형성과 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대된다.;This study aims at selecting trees & plants(herbage, flower) out of materials for natural environment education, examining recognition of teachers and students toward them, and making plans to use trees & plants in the school environment education. For these study purposes, a questionnaire paper about recognition of trees & plants was distributed to 71 elementary, middle school teachers and 223 elementary and middle school students. Contents of examination include various recognitions such as time proper for the environment education toward trees & plants, necessity of the environment education toward trees & plants(herbage, flower) teaching. learning ways in the environment education toward trees & plants, studying tools, degree of knowledge, and interest in the environment education toward trees & plants. Concrete analysis tools used were Frequency Analysis, Chi-square Analysis, the significance level was p<0 5 , and SPSSWIN10.0 program was used in statistical calculation. Study results are as follows; First, in the school environment education, the pro-nature environment education using trees & plants(herbage, flower) is necessary, which give affirmative effects on students' personality-development and ecological-value-promotion. The time of early years in elementary school is the propre time for the environment education toward trees & plants. Second, Study through experiences is the most effective way for the natural environment education toward trees & plants. Third, teachers require a guide book as a systematical study-tool for the education related with trees & plants. Students preferred visual media like video as educational media helpful for environment education studying trees & plants. Fourth, teachers recognized necessity to have study & training programs to increase their specialty, and teachers demanded study & training programs done in programs through experiencing the society. According to this study results, we are expected that systematic and continual environment-education about trees & plants would give affirmative influences upon students' forming pro-environment attitude and cultivating pro-environment value-sense.
