갤러리의 공간적 개방성에 관한 디자인 연구

Abstract

21세기에는 문화의 발전이 곧바로 정치, 경제, 사회발전의 원동력이 된다는 사실이 입증되면서 문화인프라의 구축과 대중의 능동적인 참여를 유도하는 문화공간의 중요성이 더해지고 있다. 더욱이 복잡해진 현대 사회에서 인간은 정서적 안정과 인간성 회복을 위한 정화가 필요하게 되었다. 또한 시간 및 경제력의 잉여에 따른 삶의 질에 대한 관심으로 인해 대중들은 문화적인 풍부함을 요구하기에 이르렀고, 예술품의 감상을 통한 휴식과 정신적 충만감을 제공하는 여가의 의미로 문화시설에 대한 중요성이 더해지고 있다. 여기에 미술의 대중화가 큰 역할을 하게 됨에 따라 상업적인 미술관이 미술시장에 구체적인 기능을 발휘하게 되면서, 많은 소규모 갤러리가 출현하게 되었다. 개인적인 취향과 의사를 강조하는 대중적 특성에 의해서 현대의 갤러리 건축에서는 전시장치 이상의 공간조형이 요구되며, 적극적인 접근을 유도하기 위해 호기심을 부추길 수 있는 형태적 특성과 기능 시설이 중요시 되고 있다. 따라서 과거 미술관 건축에서 보여지는 폐쇄적인 권위와 기념비성을 거부하고, 대중적인 친숙함을 강조하면서, 전시 내용물의 효과적 전달을 위한, 갤러리의 공간적 개방성 구현은 현대적 의미의 갤러리가 추구해야 할 공간 가치로써 필요충분한 요소인 것이다. 또한 네트워크 사회, 탈장소적인 흐름으로 재편되어 개인주의 경향이 만연화되고 있는 현시대에 있어서, 갤러리와 같은 문화공간이 개방적 성격을 지니게 되고 거기에 공동체적 공유공간이 제공된다면, 미래사회가 지향해야 할 나눔의 공간인 동시에 사회적 담화를 통해 합의해 가는 과정적 공간으로써 그 의미를 더하게 될 것이다.;Generalizing the analysis on the fact that the cultural development can boost the politics, economy, and social progress, the importance of cultural space apparatus which can draw on the active participation and construction of cultural infra-structure are getting more important. Moreover, we are needed to purify for mental settlement and rehabilitation of humanity. And also the public keep asking for the various and abundant cultural activities with the interest for the quality of life which based on surplus of time and financial power and the importance of cultural institution is getting weighty for the meaning of leisure which provides rest and fullness through arts. Since the popularization of arts playing a huge role, commercial gallery plays a concrete functional role in whole arts market. For that reason, dozens of small-sized gallery is emerging. Space modeling which is more than the simple exhibition is needed for modern construction of gallery for mass trait includes private taste and opinion. And also the contemporary gallery should boost curiosity and active approach from the public. So, the openness of gallery is the prerequisite in the meaning of space. It also carries out several essential roles such as effective delivery of arts to the masses, prevention of alienation. If the modern concept of gallery contains the meaning of community and special place for social networking while the society is full of individualism, it would be the place which can be the way-station to the better society and the bridgehead for the future society at the same time.
