초현실주의 회화와 이념을 응용한 의상디자인

Abstract

과학에 의해 인간생활의 장이 공간, 시각적으로 비약적인 발전을 거듭함에 따라 예술가는 공간연구에 열중하게 되었다. 특히 초현실주의를 통해 추상예술에 이르기까지 많은 관심속에서 연구되었고 이러한 양상은 복식분야에서도 같은 맥락으로서 반영되어 복식예술가들에 의해 복식의 예술성을 추구하기에 이르렀다. 그러므로 최근까지 다양하게 나타나는 초현실적 표현양식의 특징은 현대의상에서 연구의 의미와 가치가 높다. 본 연구의 내용은 초현실주의에 대한 이론적 배경으로 초현실주의 개념 및 형성과정에 대해 살펴 보고 초현실주의의 작품을 통하여 그 양식의 특성과 사상을 고찰하고 이를 응용한 작품을 제작하여 조형적, 이상적 측면으로의 복식예술로서 접근을 시도하였다. 작품은 실물제작과 초현실주의의 특성인 인간내면의 불가사의의 것과 내면에 있으나 표출하지 않는 환상, 에로티시즘, 상징주의, 무의식의 세계를 응용하여 사람들로 하여금 자극적인 방향으로 이끌어 시각적으로 형상화하여 표현하고자 하였다. 소재는 면을 선택하였고 단순한 티셔츠나 원피스 디자인으로 표현하였다. 표현방법에 있어서 초현실주의 회화에 나타난 구체적, 사실적 묘사와 양식화시킨 형태로서 다양한 표현과 색채를 이용하여 총 8점의 작품을 제작했다. 본 연구를 통해 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기존의상의 일반적 개념과는 다른 새로운 미적 개념을 제시할수 있었다. 둘째, 초현실주의 회화나 이념을 여러 각도로 응용하여 다양한 소재의 의상과 흥미로운 표현방법으로 인한 무한한 창작 가능성을 부여하였다. 세째, 의상의 구조나 형태의 변화보다는 단순한 의상위에 실크스크린(Silkscreen)작업을 통한 프린트(Print)를 이용하는 표현기법을 선택하여 초현실주의 회화와 이념을 효과적으로 표현하는 동시에 실용적이며 상품화될 수 있는 의상으로서 산업적인 개별 가능성을 제시할 수 있었다. 이상의 결과로 본 연구는 회화와 의상을 현대복식에 응용함으로써 양식의 이해를 도모하고 조형적 재구성을 통해 다양한 의상디자인 개발의 가능성을 제시하며 의상의 예술화와 실용화를 꾀하였다.;Artists have become to study space in earnest in parallel with the phenomenon that the field of human life has rapidly developed both spatially and. visually by sciences. Especially through surrealism, it has been studied in much interest up to the abstract. This trend being reflected also to the fashion field in a same context, the artistic nature of the dress and its ornaments has been to be pursued by the fashion artists. Therefore, the characteristic of a surrealistic expressional mode which appears variously up to the recent time has a high degree of meaning and value worthwhile to be studied in the contemporary fashion. In this study, as a theoretical basis upon surrealism, the concept and formative process of surrealism were examined, the characteristics and ideas of the mode were investigated through the works of surrealism, and an approach th a fashion art of formative, ideal aspects was tried by making works that applied it. Actual artpieces were made so as to express those visually shaped by having people oriented to a direction stimulated, upon applying the human internal mysterious thing, illusions in inner-part but not revealed, eroticism, symbolism, unconsoious word and so on. A chosen cotton as the material, and represented simple T-shirts or one-piece designs, and, by making use of various expressions and color, total 8 artpieces were made in such forms as to be compared to those concrete, realistic descriptions or figurations in the paintings of surrealism. The results from the study are as follows: First, such new aesthetic concept as to be different from the general concept of existing clothes could be presented. Second, various, diversive appliance of the paintings and ideas of surrealism offered a potential possibility of limitless creation through various themes and interesting expressional methods. third, by choosing an expressional technique that made use of printing on a simple dress through silk screening rather than varying structures or forms of the dress, the painting and idea of surrealism could be expressed effectively, and, at the same time, a possibility of it to be developed industrially, that is, in such a manner that it can be practical and also can be placed on sale, could be provided with. To sum up, the painting and idea of surrealism were applied to contemporary dresses, which presented a possibility of the development of various dress designs through a process of formative reorganization upon enhancing understanding of the modes, and which contributed to making it more artistic and practical.
