대학 미디아 쎈타의 제작 시설 설비에 관한 연구

Abstract

해방 이후 우리 나라의 교육은 여러 분야에 걸쳐 많은 변화와 발전이 있었다. 교육 인구의 증가와 지식의 팽창 및 기술의 혁신은 교육 방법 개선의 일환으로 교육에의 교육 공학적 접근을 요구하게 되었다. 이와 같은 교육 방법의 현대화는 교수 매체 활용의 필요성을 더욱 가중시키게 되어 적절하고 다양한 교육 자료의 공급이 절실히 요구되고 있다. 보다 폭넓은 자료의 확보는 상업적으로 제작된 자료를 구입하므로써 가능하다. 그러나 상업적으로 판매되는 교재가 학습 목표에 적합하지 않거나 판매 가격이 엄청나게 비쌀 경우 필요한 교재를 자작해서 사용해야 하는데 이를 위해서는 제작 활동을 위한 공간과 시설이 확보되어야 한다. 본 논문은 관계 문헌을 통하여 미디아 센타의 제작 시설 및 설비를 고찰해보고 현재의 수준을 진단하여 보다 나은 제작 시설을 위한 기초를 제공하려고 했다. ALA와 AECT가 제시한 기준에 의거하여 제작 영역을 아래의 네 분야로 나누어 연구 조사하였다. ·그래픽 제작실 ·사진 제작실 ·녹음 교재 제작실 ·라디오/텔레비젼 제작실 질문지를 사용하여 서울 시내 미디아 쎈타가 설치되어 있는 24개 대학 및 대학교를 대상으로 제작 시설 및 설비의 현황을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같았다. 1. 서울 시내 미디아 쎈타에 제작 시설 및 설비가 되어 있는 학교는 23개교였다. 2. 구체적으로 그래픽 제작실은 6개교에, 사진 제작실은 10개교에, 녹음 교재 제작실은 23개교에, 라디오/텔레비젼 제작실은 18개교에 설치되어 있었고 그 중 규모가 큰 5개교에서는 네 영역을 모두 갖추고 있었다. 3. 모든 시각 자료의 기초가 되는 그래픽 자료의 제작 시설에 대해서는 인식이 매우 부족했으며 색체 작업(coloring)이 중요한 그래픽 제작실에 색조정이 된 조명을 사용하는 곳이 한 곳도 없었다. 4. 사진 제작실의 온도·습도·공기 청정 등에 대한 배려가 제대로 되어 있지 않았으나 온수 공급이 가능한 싱크 시설은 대부분 되어 있었다. 5. 녹음 교재 제작실에 대한 인식은 매우 높았고 방음 상태 또한 양호한 편이었다. 6. 라디오/텔레비젼 제작실에서는 주로 녹화 작업을 하였으며 방음 상태가 좋은 편이 못되었다. 위의 조사 결과를 기초로 하여 다음과 같이 제안하고자 한다. 1. 미디아 쎈타 제작 시설 및 설비의 확충이 시급히 요구되며 이를 위하여 대학 행정 당국의 적극적인 지원과 투자가 요망된다. 2. 미디아 쎈타의 신축 시에는 설계 단계부터 시공·감리에 이르기까지 미디아 전문가를 포함시켜 각 공간이 그 기능을 다할 수 있게함은 물론 각 제작 영역 간의 상호 협조가 이루어질 수 있어야 하겠다. 3. 기존의 시설·설비를 효율적으로 활용하기 위하여 미디아 쎈타 자체에서 충분한 연구와 배려가 있어야 하겠다.;The improvement of Educational method is demanded in 8 modern society in which a rapid social change takes place and more people has enrolled to receive education. For the modernized teaching methods, proper instructional media should be provided for the students. We can purdhase variety of commercially produced educational media. But if those materials are not good for the specific instructional purposes, or the price is so expensive, we have to produce those materials locally, For those production facilities and equipments should be provided. This study attempted to explain the function and physical facilities of the four areas such as Graphic arts production area, Photographic Procuction area, Audio tape production area, and Raio/Television production area. Many o f the past study were reviewed to illuminate the theoretical background. In addition, this study surveyed 23 Colleges and Universities' production facilities of midia centers. Then the current status of the four production area was analyzed through personal interivew and telephone interview. The result of the survey of the 23 Schools' production facilities showed the following : 1. 23 colleges and universities were secured production facilities in their media centers. 2. Among 23 schools, only 5 had all of the 4 production area, 6 had graphic arts production area, 10 had photographic production area, 23 had audiotape production area, and 18 had radio/television production area. 3 . In physical environment of the production division, there were big gap between real and ideal environmental elements, such as temperature, humidity, ventilation, acoustical and lighting condition. To solve such problems and for the more efficient produc- tion activities, the study suggests as follows : 1. University media center should be secured sufficient production facilities and equipments. Also full of support and recognition for the need of the production facilities should be provided. 2. Media specialist should be attended as a planning team for the new media center facilities. So that each production area could be more interactive and suitable for the expected function. 3. More carefully arranged study for the utilization of t h e existing production facilities should be made.
