키네틱 타이포그래피를 활용한 멀티동화에 관한 연구

Abstract

예술에 있어 움직임에 대한 실험은 오래 전부터 있었고 키네틱 아트를 등장하게 하였다. 그러나 움직임을 첨가 할 수 있는 예술 작품과 달리 타이포그래피는 종이라는 매체의 특성 때문에 움직임이 없는 고정된 상태를 벗어날 수 없었다. 그러나 기술의 발달로 영상이라는 새로운 매체를 통해 타이포그래피도 움직임을 갖게 되었다. 현대의 멀티미디어 시대에는 움직임과 청각 요소가 포함된 3차원적 공간에서의 타이포그래피의 표현이 가능해지고 이러한 키네틱 타이포그래피는 다양한 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 키네틱 타이포그래피는 일반적 영상매체인 영화 오프닝 타이틀을 비롯하여 방송 프로그램 타이틀, CF, 뮤직비디오, 인터넷상의 웹사이트에서 뿐 아니라 건물의 광고판이나 전시장과 영화관의 안내판, 공연에서의 번역용 전광판, 프레젠테이션 등 활용분야가 넓다. 이러한 키네틱 타이포그래피를 멀티동화에 적용시켜 보고자 한다. 멀티동화는 플래시 애니메이션과 내레이션, 효과음 등으로 유아의 이해력과 집중력을 높이는 효과적인 동화제시방법으로 활용되고 있다. 그러나 동화에서 중요한 텍스트는 종이 책과 다를 바 없이 정지된 상태의 정보전달 역할만 하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 키네틱 타이포그래피를 멀티동화에 활용하여 유아의 주목 성을 높이고 감정전달과 정보전달에 효과적인 한 방법으로 제시하고자 한다. 작품전개는 [하늘을 나는 거북]이라는 이솝우화를 내용으로 멀티동화를 제작한다. 내용의 긴박함과 평온함 등을 고려하고 대화에서의 어조와 주인공의 감정전달 등에 주목하여 표현한다. 이러한 멀티동화의 특징은 읽기 위한 텍스트에 움직임과 리듬을 주어 생명력을 갖게 하고 유아가 재미를 통해 텍스트를 보며 자연스럽게 읽기 과정을 할 수 있다는 것이다. 또한 글의 감정이 효과적으로 전달되어 유아의 동화에 대한 감정이입을 도와준다. 멀티동화는 움직임과 청각적 요소로 인해 그림책보다 유아의 선호도가 높고 이해력과 언어능력, 집중력의 향상에 도움이 된다는 연구결과가 있다. 또한 멀티미디어 요소는 유아에게 여러 가지 긍정적 영향을 끼친다. 멀티동화에서 키네틱 타이포그래피의 활용은 이러한 멀티동화의 효과를 극대화 시켜줄 것이고 효과적인 정보전달의 방법이 될 것이다.;In the field of art, the experiment on movement has long been, and it made Kinetic Art appear. Unlike the art work that can have movement, typography have had fixed state because of the properties of the medium as paper. But with advances in technology, typography has had movement through a new medium called a picture. In the modern multimedia era, the typography of the three-dimensional space including a movement and acoustic factor can be expressed, and this Kinetic Typography has been applied in the various fields. Kinetic Typography has these wide application fields - the billboard of a building, the notice board of an exhibition hall and a movie theater, an electric bulletin board for translation of the performance, and presentation as well as the opening title of the film as general visual media, the title of a broadcast program, a commercial film, a music video, web sites on Internet. So, this purpose of this study is that Kinetic Typography is to apply to the Multimedia Fairy Tale. The Multimedia Fairy Tale is being used as the effective method of presenting a fairy tale such as the flash animation, narration, sound effects and so on that increases the understanding and concentration of a small child. But the important text of a fairy tale has only the information role with unmovable state like a book. Therefore, this study is to present the method of increasing the concentration of a small child and having an effect on the communication of emotion and information by applying Kinetic Typography to the Multimedia Fairy Tale. The development of the work is to produce the Multimedia Fairy Tale as contents of the Aesop's Fable called [The Flying Turtle]. That is considered by tension and calmness of the contents, and presented by focusing on the tone and communication of the main character's emotion in dialogues. The characteristic of this Multimedia Fairy Tale is that the text for reading given movement and rhythm has had life force and a small child watches the interesting text and can learn to read it naturally. Also, the feeling of writhing is communicated effectively, and that helps a small child empathize with fairy tales. The Multimedia Fairy Tale has the result of the research that a small child is prefer it to a picture book and it helps increase the understanding, verbal ability and concentration of a small child. And multimedia factors have an positive effect on a small child. Applying Kinetic Typography to the Multimedia Fairy Tale will maximize the effect of this Multimedia Fairy Tale, and it will be the effective method of communicating information.
