제 7차 교육과정에 의한 중학교 음악 교과서의 '전통가곡' 교과 내용 분석

Abstract

제 7차 음악과 교육과정에서는 21세기의 정보화, 세계화, 다양화 시대 속에서 우리의 음악 문화를 창조하기 위해 전통음악 교육을 강조하였고 그 결과 교과서 내에 다양한 제재 곡들이 제시되었는데 그 중 하나가 전통가곡이다. 가곡은 역사적 측면이나 예술적인 측면에서 그 미적 가치가 매우 큰 격조 높은 성악이다. 한국 전통음악의 예술적 아름다움을 가장 잘 내포하고 있는 음악으로 평가받고 있는 가곡을 이해한다는 것은 전통음악을 제대로 이해하는데 큰 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다. 가곡에 관한 선행 연구물들을 조사해 본 결과 대부분의 논문들이 6차 이전의 교육과정에 초점이 맞추어져 있었고, 또 한 발표된 논문들도 가곡에 관한 매우 간단한 이론적 고찰들과 형식적인 단계별 지도방안만을 수록하고 있었다. 이에 본 연구는 가곡에 대한 체계적인 이론적 배경을 연구한 다음중학교 음악 교과서의 가곡 단원을 면밀히 분석한 후 문제점을 지적하고 그 개선 방향에 관하여 살펴보고자 한다. 이론적 배경의 문헌연구를 바탕으로 현행 제 7차 교육과정에 의한 중학교 2학년 음악 교과서 중 가곡 단원을 가곡에 관한 기초이론 (원형 및 변천과정, 형식, 반주형태, 종류, 음계, 장단)과 제재곡 ( 가곡의 곡명 영역, 교과서내의 항목, 학습목표, 악보, 조성, 빠르기, 박자표, 작시자, 종류와 채보자 발음표기 및 가사의 모음 변화, 가락, 학습평가 및 확인, 교사용 지도서)등으로 세분화하여 분석한 결과 9권의 교과서가 모두 가곡에 관해 다루고 있었지만 각 교과서의 내용에는 통일성이 결여되어 있어 문제점을 발견 할 수 있었다. 9권의 교과서에는 가곡이 모두 감상곡으로 제시되었는데 가곡은 전통 성악곡이므로 가곡의 특징적인 음악적 형식과 아름다움을 느끼게 하기 위해 학생들에게 감상활동 위주의 교육을 시키는 것도 물론 중요하지만 가창곡으로 지도하는 것 역시 중요하다고 본다. 이에 본인은 기존의 감상위주의 가곡교육 대신 가곡을 가창교육으로 지도 할 것을 주장한다. 생활의 리듬이 점점 빨라져만 현대 물질문명의 세태 속에서 선율의 굴곡도 완만하고 템포도 느려 호흡의 절제를 필요로 하는 가곡과 같은 류의 음악 익히기는 건강 증진과 정서순화를 꾀할 수 있는 부수적인 효과도 있어 교육 자료로서 부족함이 없다. 앞으로 교육 현장에서 가곡 교육이 더 활발히 진행 될 수 있기를 바라며 본 연구가 하나의 기초 자료가 되길 바란다.;The education of Korean traditional music was emphasized in the 7th National Music Education Curriculum for the purpose of creating and leading our unique culture of music in this 21th century, the century of information and globalization. A lot of themes were suggested in the areas of music activities, and Gagok education is one of them. Gakok is one of the most beautiful traditional vocal music with historical significance and it is intangible culture asset in Korea. Understanding Gakok which is estimated as a music that contains the beauty of Korean traditional music will be a good start for understanding our traditional music. Examination on previous studies show 3 following weak points: First of all, number of studies on the subject of Gakok was very few. And most of them were focused on 6th national education curriculum or even before. Plus, they were containing only some brief theory and perfunctory teaching plans. The purpose of this study is detailed analysis of middle school music textbooks to provide lessons of Gakok in an efficient and systematic way. For this study, the 7th National Music Curriculum and 9 kinds of music textbooks of second grade of middle school were analyzed in details. All of them had mentioned about Gakok but there wasn't a unity which seems to be a problem. And Gakok was listed in listening and appreciation part in all of 9 textbooks but since many music notes and motifs were being used, it makes difficult for the student to comprehend. In order to make students to feel the real beauty of its structure and sound, it is also important to teach to sing Gakok. This study has devised the effective guidance for musical appreciation education in the object to make students enjoy such beauty of Gagok to the full and I hope this will be a helpful material for korean music education.
