직장보육시설 보육교사의 역할수행에 관한 교사 및 학부모의 인식조사 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 직장보육시설 보육교사의 역할수행에 관한 교사 및 학부모의 인식을 알아보고 교사와 학부모의 인식에는 어떤 차이가 있는지 살펴보는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 구체적으로 설정한 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 직장보육시설 보육교사의 역할수행에 관한 교사의 인식은 어떠한가? 1-1. 교사의 경력에 따라 보육교사의 역할수행에 관한 인식은 어떠한가? 1-2. 교사의 자격증에 따라 보육교사의 역할수행에 관한 인식은 어떠한가? 1-3. 교사의 전공에 따라 보육교사의 역할수행에 관한 인식은 어떠한가? 2. 직장보육시설 보육교사의 역할수행에 관한 학부모의 인식은 어떠한가? 2-1. 학부모의 연령에 따라 보육교사의 역할수행에 관한 인식은 어떠한가? 2-2. 학부모의 학력에 따라 보육교사의 역할수행에 관한 인식은 어떠한가? 2-3. 학부모의 자녀 연령에 따라 보육교사의 역할수행에 관한 인식은 어떠한가? 3. 직장보육시설 보육교사의 역할수행에 관한 교사와 학부모의 인식은 어떤 차이가 있는가? 본 연구의 대상은 서울․ 경기 소재 직장보육시설에 재직중인 보육교사 225명과 직장보육시설에 자녀를 보내고 있는 학부모 190명이다. 본 연구에서 사용된 도구는 직장보육시설 보육교사의 역할수행에 관한 교사와 학부모의 인식을 알아보기 위한 설문지로 조부경과 Saracho(1997)에 의해 개발된 유아교사 역할평가 도구(Early Childhood Teacher's Role Rating Scale: ECTRRS)를 김순혜(1999)연구에서 사용된 것으로 수정․보완하여 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 직장보육시설 교사의 역할수행 정도를 알아보기 위하여 5단계 평정척도로 1점에서 5점까지 점수화하여 SPSS프로그램으로 컴퓨터 처리하였고, 통계처리한 자료는 연구문제에 따라 T검증, 분산 분석, 질문지의 특성에 따라 빈도분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직장보육시설 보육교사의 역할수행에 관해 교사는 하위요인중 건강 및 영양관리자의 역할을 가장 높게 인식하고 있었고, 연구자의 역할을 가장 낮게 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났으나 전반적인 하위요인들(교육과정 설계자, 일과계획 및 수행자, 상담자 및 조언자, 연구자, 행정업무 관리자, 건강 및 영양관리자, 안전관리자)에 대해 교사의 역할수행 인식은 높은 것으로 나타났다. 교사의 교육경력에서 3년이상～5년미만의 교사가 역할수행을 높게 평가하는 것으로 분석되었고, 자격증에 따라서는 유의미한 차이가 있었으며, 전공에 따라서 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 직장보육시설 보육교사의 역할수행에 관한 학부모의 인식은 대체로 높게 나타났으며 학부모의 연령과 학력이 높아짐에 따라 교사의 역할수행을 높게 평가하는 것으로 나타났으나, 자녀 연령에 따라서는 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 학부모의 인식은 교사의 인식과 마찬가지로 건강 및 영양관리자의 역할을 교사가 잘 수행한다고 생각하는 것으로 나타났고, 연구자의 역할을 가장 낮게 인식하고 있었다. 또한, 학부모 역시 전반적인 하위요인들(교육과정 설계자, 일과계획 및 수행자, 상담자 및 조언자, 연구자, 행정업무 관리자, 건강 및 영양관리자, 안전관리자)에 대해 역할수행 평가는 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 직장보육시설 보육교사에 관한 교사 및 학부모의 인식을 살펴본 결과 전반적으로 교사와 학부모의 교사에 대한 역할수행은 높게 나타났고, 교사의 역할수행에 대한 인식 비교에서 교사가 학부모보다 높게 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.;The purpose of this study was to examine how teachers working at employer-supported daycare centers perceived their role performance, how parents assessed it and if there were any gaps between the views of the two groups. The research questions were posed as below: 1. How do employer-supported daycare teachers think of their own role performance? 1-1. Does their career make any differences to it? 1-2. Does their major make any differences to it? 1-3. Does their certificate make any differences to it? 2. What is parents' view of the role performance of teachers at employer-supported daycare centers? 2-1. Does their age make any differences to it? 2-2. Does their educational background make any differences to it? 2-3. Does their age of child make any differences to it? 3. What is the gap between the outlooks of teachers and parents? The subjects in this study were 225 teachers who worked at employer-supported daycare centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi province and 190 parents who had their children taken care of by those centers. The instrument used in this study to see how the teachers and parents looked at teacher role performance was questionnaires, a revised version of Jo Bu-gyeong and Saracho(1997)'s Early Childhood Teacher Role Rating Scale, or ECTRRS, which was used by Kim Sun-hye (1999)'s study. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS program, and one to five marks were given by using five-point scale. To address the research questions, frequency analysis was conducted, and T-test and ANOVA were employed in consideration of the characteristics of the questionnaires. The major findings of the study were as follows: First, the employer-supported daycare teachers tended to have the highest value on their role performance as manager of the health and nutritive state of young children in the sub-factors, however, they had the lowest value on their role performance as a researcher. Also, the teachers who had teaching experiences of more than three years and less than five years evaluated their role performance higher than the others, however, their certificate and major made no significant differences on their performances. Second, the parents had a tendency to see employer-supported daycare teachers in a positive way. They had the best opinion about their role of managing the health and nutritive state of young children, and their researcher role was rated lowest. By variable, the parents who were older and better educated put higher value on their role performance, but their age of child made no significant differences to their outlook. Third, when the two groups were compared, both groups had a favorable view of teacher role performance. They made the most different assessment of the researcher role of teachers, and there was the smallest gap between their opinions about their safety manager role.
