대중가요를 활용한 가창수업 지도안 개발

Abstract

오늘날 대중음악의 발달과 그 영향력은 문화 전달의 기능을 가지고 있는 학교 교육의 보수적 기능과 갈등을 겪고 있다. 과거와는 달리 최근 학교 음악교육은 대중음악을 학습에 활용하고 있다. 그러나 대중음악을 학습에 활용하는 데는 여전히 문제점이 있다. 특히 대중음악의 다양한 교육적 접근의 연구 부족은 대중음악을 교육에 도입하는데 구체적 방향과 방법을 제시하지 못하고 있다. 대중음악에 노출되어 있는 학생들의 흥미와 욕구를 충족시키면서 교육목적에도 부합할 수 있는 학습 지도 방안 개발이 시급하다. 본 연구는 대중음악을 음악 학습의 내용으로 하는 하나의 예로써 우리나라의 대중가요를 통한 가창 수업 지도안 개발을 목적으로 한다. 이 연구는 미국 The National Association for Music Education(MENC)에서 2002년에 발간한 The Guide to Teaching with Popular Music을 기초로 하였다. The Guide to Teaching with Popular Music은 팝음악을 이용한 음악 교육 지도에 대한 가이드이며 그 내용은 1. 멜로디, 2. 화성, 3. 편곡과 즉흥연주, 4. 리듬, 5. 학제간 연구, 6. 음악의 뿌리 즉, 음악을 문화와 역사의 관계 속에서 이해하는 6가지 학습 요소로 구성 되어 있다. 본 연구는 우리나라 제7차 교육과정에 의한 중학교 이해 영역을 가창학습과 연계하여 위의 6가지 학습 요소와 관련된 ‘멜로디’, ‘화성’, ‘리듬’의 3가지 학습 요소와 ‘음악과 사회’라는 요소를 가지고 중학교 1학년 대상으로 학습 지도안을 개발하였다. 선곡과정은 중학교 음악교과서에 실린 대중가요를 장르별로 분류하고, 분류한 장르에서 각각 한 곡씩을 선택하였다. 이 논문을 통하여 대중음악이 학교음악교육에서 음악 학습 내용으로 충분히 활용 될 수 있다는 가능성을 제시하고 대중음악에 대한 보다 많은 교육학적 연구 및 활용방안에 도움이 되기를 바란다.;Today the development and influence of popular music are giving rise to complication with conservative function of education in school as a cultural spreader. Unlike the past, gradually popular music has used to recent music education in school. However there are still problems in applying to study popular music. Especially insufficient studies about popular music have not suggested concrete directions and methods in the educational approach of popular music. As a result, it is very important to develop guideline for studying to satisfy interests and needs for students who are exposed to popular music and to suit educational purposes as well. Therefore the purpose of this study is the development of guideline for singing class by Korean popular song as a example of music study through popular music. This study is based on The Guide to Teaching with Popular music which was published in The National Association for Music Education (MENC) in 2002. The Guide to Teaching with Popular Music is the guide to teach music education by using pop music. And it is make up of 6 educational parts- melody, harmony, arranging and improvising, rhythm, Interdisciplinary connections, musical roots- which are understood in the relation with culture and history in music. This study developed a educational guideline for 1st grade in junior high school. The educational guideline was based on 6 educational parts above in comprehension section by the 7th Korean educational course, 3 educational factors related to 'melody', 'harmony', and 'rhythm', and other factors such as music and society. To select songs popular songs of music textbooks of junior high school were divided into each genre and then it was selected each one song among divided genres. Eventually this paper suggests possibilities of that popular music as a music educational tool can use in music education in schools. In addition it will help developing many educational studies about popular music. Furthermore it will be helpful to be a educational method through using popular music.
