https://dspace.ewha.ac.kr/handle/2015.oak/171502 Mon, 06 Apr 2026 10:48:54 GMT 2026-04-06T10:48:54Z https://dspace.ewha.ac.kr/handle/2015.oak/254695 Title: 도자 벽장식을 통한 시간의 시각적 표현 Ewha Authors: 박은비 Abstract: 시간은 모두에게 공평하게 주어져있다. 인간은 각자에게 주어진 시간 안에서 살아간다. 연구자는 본 연구를 통해 ‘시간’이라는 눈에 보이지 않는 대상을 시각화하고, 이미지화함으로써 시간의 ‘시각적 상징화’에 의의를 두었다. 시간에 대한 단상을 떠올리는 것은 연구자에게 중요한 일이자 영감을 주는 매개체이다. 시간은 우리를 둘러싸고 있는 보이지 않는 커다란 흐름이다. 그 흐름은 우리의 주변을 감싸고 있지만, 그것을 눈으로 볼 수도 만질 수도 없다. 다만 한 명의 주체로 그것을 느끼고 생각할 뿐이다. 수많은 점들이 모여 하나의 형태를 형성하듯, 한 인간의 내면은 수많은 순간들의 모임으로 인해 고유한 한명의 인간을 형성하게 된다. 그 과정에서 시간은 매우 중요한 작용을 하게 된다. 인간은 과거의 사건을 경험하고 그것을 기억함으로써 시간의 흐름을 간접적으로 느낄 수 있다. 이 과거의 기억을 통해 인간은 미래를 유추해 볼 수 있는 지적 능력을 발달시키는데 이것이 바로 ‘시간의식’이다. 시간의식을 통해 인간은 시간을 개념화하고 객체화된 대상으로 받아들이게 된다. 본 연구는 시간의 흐름으로 인해 만들어진 거친 질감을 도자 벽장식을 통해 구현한다. 벽장식은 실내공간의 분위기뿐만 아니라 건물의 내부와 외부에 조형미를 풍부하게 줄 수 있는 기능이 있다. 이는 인간의 감정과 미적감상에 영향을 미치는 공간적 요소로 실생활 속에 많은 영향을 끼친다. 반복적으로 만들어진 유닛들은 벽장식과 같은 타일(tile)로 기능하며 온전한 형태의 유닛이 시간의 흐름에 따라 마모되고 변형되어 나타나게 된다. 이는 연구자가 느끼는 ‘시간의 흐름’을 나타낸 것으로, 오래된 건물이나 부서진 사물의 파편 등 자연적으로 만들어진 균열같이 오랜 시간의 흐름으로 인한 외부 자극에 의해 얻어지는 질감들이다. 연구자는 이 이미지들을 통해 시간의 흐름을 시각적으로 표현하는 것을 목표로 한다. 연구자가 느끼는 ‘시간의 이미지’는 다양한 재료를 이용해 거칠고 마모된 텍스쳐로 구현된다. 사물의 거친 표면을 복제하거나, 표면을 물리적으로 깎아내 거칠고 마모된 질감을 만들어내었다. 텍스처를 강조하기 위해 유닛의 형태를 기하학적 도형으로 단순화하였고, 각각의 작품마다 색안료를 다양한 비율로 혼합해 전체적으로 차갑고 채도가 낮은 색감으로 제작하였다. 또한 소성 중 기물 형태의 틀어짐을 적게 하기 위해 슬립(slip)에 알루미나(alumina)를 섞어 사용했다. 알루미나(alumina) 사용 시 비율에 따라 크기가 달라지는 것을 확인 한 후, 정확한 비율에 의해 작업했다. 본 연구의 과정을 통해 온전한 형태의 유닛이 점차 마모되는 과정을 텍스처로 나타내었을 때 시간의 흐름을 직관적으로 전달할 수 있었고, 동시에 거친 표면과 매끈한 표면이 극명한 대비를 이루어 서로의 형태와 질감을 강조할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 시간의 흐름을 통해 만들어지는 질감을 이미지화하여 도자 벽장식으로 구현한 것으로 다양한 텍스처를 활용하여 시간의 흐름을 시각적으로 전달하는 하나의 방법으로 제시하고자한다.;Time is given fairly to everyone. Humans live within the time given to each other. Through this study, I put significance on the 'visual symbolization' of time by visualizing and expressing the invisible object of 'time' through images. It's important to me to think of a single phase of time and it's an inspirational medium. Time is the unseen flow that surrounds us. Time is being around us, but we can't see and touch it. However, we can feel and think about it. Like many dots come together to form a shape, the inner side of a human forms a unique human by gathering of many moments. In this process, time effects importantly. By experiencing past events and remembering them, humans can indirectly feel the flow of time. Through this memory of the past, humans develop intellectual abilities that can infer the future by analogy, and this is 'time awareness'. By recognizing the flow of time, a human conceptualizes time and is accepted by an object.h This study embodies rough textures made by the flow of time through ceramic wall decorations. The wall decoration not only gives the atmosphere to the space but also has the ability to give a beauty of the interior and exterior of buildings. This is a spatial element that affects human emotions and aesthetic feelings, and has a lot of influence in real life. Repeated units function as tiles, such as wall decorations, and the intact form of units will appear worn out and deformed over time. These represent the usual ‘flow of time’ I feel, the textures obtained by external stimuli caused by long periods of time such as fragments from old building and broken objects. the goal is visually expressing the flow of time through the images ahead. The ‘image of time’ I feel is embodied in rough and worn texture using various materials. copying the rough surface of an object or physically sculpting the surface to produce a rough and worn texture. To emphasize the texture, the form of the unit was simplified into a geometric figure. Also, for each artworks, I used different amounts of chromatic pigments to express the atmosphere of cold and low chroma colors. After checking the size variations based on the amount of alumina, I used right amount of alumina for each artworks. Through the course of this study, we were able to intuitively communicate the flow of time in which the whole form of the unit gradually wears out in texture. And the rough and smooth surfaces were in stark contrast, which allowed them to emphasize each other's shape and texture. This study is an image of the texture produced through the flow of time and expressed in ceramic wall decoration. We can put our minds at ease by looking at the ripples or the clam waves of the lake. And this explains the close relationship between us and water; thus our lives begin with water, inside of the mother’s womb, surrounded by amniotic fluid. As we all know, humans can not survive without water, and this reflects how we unconsciously perceive water as a life. Although we do not always recognize waves around us, they exist everywhere. They are in the air, on the ground, or on the surface of things. But since the waves of water can be visually detected by human eyes, it was selected as the medium of this work. The design of nature: spiral, vortex, branch, and bend, was used in this work. The pattern of the work represents the movement of water’s energy in infinite recursiveness. In order to reflect the repetitive lines of the waves of water into the work, the research used the Rhino program to emulate the lines of nature, which is difficult to do by hands. Once the lines were designed, the prototype was produced by 3D printer. The goal is to create a “Multifunctional Objet” that can be used without any limitation, and not restricted by any means. So the design is simple and basic, and each size of the piece can be stacked up together to form a larger piece. The researcher wants to convey the peacefulness and the ease of mind that nature can offer to humans through my work. And I hope that people can find some tranquility from the various waves of water that are portrayed on My work.;인간은 자연과 함께할 때 비로소 진정한 안정을 찾게 된다. 출렁이는 파도나 잔잔한 호수의 물결을 바라만 봐도 마음이 편안해지는 것을 느낄 수 있다. 이것은 오랜 세월 동안 인간과 물의 밀접한 관계에 의한 결과이다. 우리는 배아 시절부터 엄마의 양수 안에서 보호받았고, 물 없이는 생명을 이어나갈 수 없기에 무의식적으로 물은 우리에게 생명에 의미로 존재하고 있다. 이처럼 회복과 생명의 시작이라는 긍정적인 물의 이미지를 반영한 실용을 갖은 오브제(Objet)를 제작함으로써, 우리의 생활 속에서 다양한 목적으로 사용 할 수 있도록 하였다. 우리 주변에 항상 존재하고 밀접하게 관련되어있지만 인식하지 못하고 있는 파동은 지면이나 공기, 수면 등에 존재한다. 물의 파동은 시각적으로 인지 할 수 있다는 점에서 이번 작업의 표현 매개체로 한정 지었다. 바다의 복잡한 파동의 선 속에서 부분의 모양이 전체의 모양을 닮아가는 한없이 반복되는 순환성(Recursiveness)을 보이는 형태로 용수철형과 소용돌이형, 가지형, 굴곡형이 있다. 물의 에너지의 흐름을 보여주는 형태의 패턴으로 디자인에 접목했다. 물의 에너지 파동이 갖는 반복의 선을 작품에 투영하기 위해 본 연구자는 라이노 프로그램(Rhino program)을 이용하였다. 손으로는 표현이 힘든 자연의 일률적인 선을 3D(3차원)으로 모델링(modeling)하여 3D프린터를 이용해 형상화하여 원형을 제작하였다. 본 논문은 사용자의 개인적 차이와 다른 문화에 따라 자유롭게 이용될 수 있도록 형식에 구애받지 않는 범용성을 가진 다기능의 오브제(Objet) 제작을 연구하였다. 쓰임이 다양함으로 혼란스럽지 않도록 절제된 기본적인 형태로 제작했으며 하나하나의 개체가 크기별로 교차하여 하나의 큰 결합의 형태로 만들어 전체적인 통일성을 주었다. 본 연구자는 현대인의 바쁜 일상에서 자연의 규칙적인 선들로 만들어진 물의 파동의 이미지를 중심으로 실용적 오브제를 제작함이 본 연구의 목적이다. 물의 패턴 속의 편안함과 익숙함의 긍정적 이미지가 사용자에게 휴식으로 느껴지길 바라는 마음이 연구의 시작점이었으며 본 연구를 통하여 라이노(Rhino)프로그램을 이용한 오브제 디자인이 실용기로써의 디자인 개발에 적절한 도구가 되었음을 인지하여 다양한 프로그램의 활용을 제안하고자 한다. Wed, 01 Jan 2020 00:00:00 GMT https://dspace.ewha.ac.kr/handle/2015.oak/253056 2020-01-01T00:00:00Z https://dspace.ewha.ac.kr/handle/2015.oak/250929 Title: 십이지신 이미지를 이용한 탁상용품 디자인 연구 Ewha Authors: 최소연 Abstract: 한국 사회 안에서 우리는 태어남과 동시에 십이지의 동물이라는 문화적 관념 아래에 영향을 받으며 살아왔다. 십이지 동물은 사람이 태어난 해의 지지(地支)를 동물로 상징한 것으로, 우리의 삶에 정신적인 특성을 비유하는 매개체로 활용된다. 이러한 십이지 동물은 한국인이라면 누구나 가지고 있는 공통적인 소재로서 빠른 변화 속의 현대인들과도 유대감을 형성하고 있다. 현재 발전하는 사회의 주요 소비층인 밀레니얼 세대는 본인의 정체성을 나타내기 위하여 계속해서 자신을 대상화할 소재를 탐색하고 있다. 탐구 과정을 통하여 그들은 사회 안에서 자신의 정체성을 표현하는 상징 요소를 발견 혹은 창조해낸다. 이처럼 산업적으로 요구되는 상징적 소재는 십이지 문화라는 이름으로 우리 사회의 과거에서부터 현재까지 지속적인 영향을 주며 존재했다. 사람의 특성에 따라 특정 동물을 비유하는 것과 자신의 띠 동물로 운수를 예견하는 행동은 우리의 일상에서 지극히 자연스러운 모습으로 우리 삶과의 밀접한 관계를 보여준다. 십이지 동물과 같이 대중성이 높은 문화적 소재를 제품으로 실현하는 경우, 다양한 연령층에 공감대를 형성할 수 있으며 상징 이미지를 통하여 개인의 자아 표현에 대한 욕구를 충족시킨다. 또한, 이를 통하여 한국의 문화를 다른 매체로 효과적으로 전달할 것으로 판단하였다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같이 문화적 효용가치가 높은 십이지의 동물을 이용하여 개개인의 다양한 상호작용이 이루어지는 사무공간에서 활용되는 탁상용품을 디자인하고자 한다. 실제 사용빈도가 높은 제품을 고안함으로써 사용자 개인의 기호를 관찰할 수 있으며 사무공간에서 작용하는 개개인의 관계 안에서 동물의 상징적 의미가 적용되는 상황을 통해 이론적 고찰을 하고자 하였다. 더불어 특정한 형태로 국한되지 않은 현대의 사무공간에 적용된 동물 형상의 제품을 통하여 조형적, 심미적 경험을 일으켜 탁상용품의 기능과 영역을 확장하고자 했다. 제품으로 표현되는 십이지 동물의 형상은 전통적인 감성은 절제하고 동물이 가지고 있는 특유의 분위기를 극대화하기 위하여 불규칙하고 거칠게 묘사하는 방법을 연구하였으며 탁상용품의 실용성에 대한 고찰은 표현되는 동물들의 신체가 실행할 수 있는 동작 기능과 행동양식에 탁상용품의 개별적 기능을 접목하여 심미성을 극대화하였다. 본 연구에서는 현대의 소비 경향과 전통적 문화요소가 결합 된 상품을 제작하는 데 의의가 있다. 소비자의 욕구를 충족시키며 사무공간의 개념에 대한 변화에 따라 탁상용품의 기능을 확장하고, 탁상용품의 디자인 형식을 재해석하여 제품 실현을 통하여 일상에서 활용되는 동물의 상징 이미지에 대한 대중성을 확인하는 계기가 되었으며 활용 가치가 높은 문화요소임을 확인하였다. 이를 통하여 한국의 고유문화의 가치를 드높일 수 있는 심화 제품 개발을 고민하며 우리 생활의 다양한 공간에서 활용 가능한 십이지 관련 용품에 관한 연구를 제안하고자 하였다. ;In Korean society, we have lived under the influence of cultural notion of Twelve Zodiac Animals at the same time as we were born. Twelve zodiac animals are symbolized the earthly branch of the year that a person is born as animal and are used as medium that compares the mental characteristics in our life. These Twelve zodiac animals are the common material held by any Korean and formed the bond with the modern men in rapid changes. Currently, the millennial generation, the major comsumer class in developing society, are exploring the material to objectify themselves to appeal their identity. Through the exploration process, they discover or create the symbolic element expressing their identity in the society. As such, the symbolic material has existed influencing on our society from the past to present under the name of twelve zodiac culture. The act of comparing the man to specific animal according to the characteristics of man and of predicting the fortune with the zodiac animal is very natural in our daily living and shows the close relationship with our life. If the cultural material having high popularity like twelve zodiac animals, the bond of sympathy cam be formed over across diverse age groups and through the symbolic image, it satisfies the desire of individual for self-expression. In addition, through that, it is deemed that the Korean culture can be delivered with other media effectively. This study was intended to design the desk supplies utilized in office space where diverse interactions are made using twelve zodiac animals having higher cultural utility value. By designing the product having high frequency of use, we can observe the personal preference of the user and intended to attempt theoretical contemplation through the situations that the symbolic meaning of animals within the relationship among individuals. In addition, through the products in the form of animals applied in modern office space not limited to specific form, it was intended to expand the function and the domain of the desk supplies by raising the formative and aesthetic experience. In this study, the method to express irregularly and roughly the products with the form of twelve zodiac animals was researched to maximize the unique atmosphere of animals restraining the traditional emotion and the practicality of the desk supplies was grafted with the functionality of the supplies by research the motion function of the animal body and the behavior pattern. This study has meaning to produce the products that the consumption trend of modern age and the traditional cultural elements are combined. It satisfied the consumer's desire, expand the function of desk supplied according to the change in the concept of office space and reinterpreted the design type. Through the production and materialization of product, it was the opportunity to confirm the popularity of the image symbolizing the animal utilized in daily living and the cultural element having high value of use. All art can be divided into realism and idealism art movement. Abstract expressionism is first American movement that achieved international influence and put New York City at athe center of the western art world. The concept of abstract expressionism encourages imaginations when realism art generally emphasis on representing subject matter directly. The practice of painting on the surface of painting has a long history. However, the traditional ceramic painting art had limited in function. Recognizing clay as a medium of creativity, the artist analysis on exploring the possibility of expression through the combination of character in ceramics and painting elements. This study examined with the purpose of integrating medium of clay and abstract painting elements to produce ceramic wall art. Instead of painting on canvas, the artist used clay as a medium, and colored them with ceramic color paint. Without representing an object directly, the artist’s work constructs formative elements such as lines, planes and colors. While ceramic art and painting is defined as two different form of art, the artist harmonized the art work, painting with abstract forms that shows well-balanced in both color and surface. The background of this study comprises abstract painting and ceramic art, attempting to use them as decorating indoor space. When analyzing painting elements, the artist combined abstract painting with the abstract form to produce works that could decorate the indoor surface.
