F. Schubert <바이올린과 피아노를 위한 론도 in b minor, D. 895>에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 고전주의적 양식에서 낭만성을 보인 19세기의 작곡가 프란츠 슈베르트(Franz Peter Schubert, 1797-1828)의 작품 <바이올린과 피아노를 위한 론도 in b minor, D. 895>에 대한 분석 연구이다. 고전주의와 낭만주의 음악은 균형과 조화 면에서 차이를 보인다. 18세기인 고전 시대의 음악에서는 선율적이고 짧은 악구와 호모포닉한 화성적 짜임새를 보이는 갈랑(galant) 양식이 나타난다. 또한 리듬이 명료하고 규칙적이고, 부드럽고 서정적인 선율이 주를 이룬다. 하지만 19세기 낭만주의 시대의 음악에서는 예술가의 감정, 개성을 드러내는 것을 추구한다. 따라서 불협화음이나 반음계적인 음들을 많이 사용하여 더욱 표현적인 화성을 만들고자 한다. 그리고 갑작스러운 전조나 먼 곳으로의 전조를 많이 사용한다. 두 시대를 연결하는 시기에 살았던 프란츠 슈베르트의 음악에서는 이러한 고전적인 면과 낭만적인 면 모두를 볼 수 있다. 선율의 진행에서는 고전성을 보여주지만, 전조의 과정과 화음들의 사용을 통해 낭만성을 볼 수 있다. 그리고 슈베르트 삶의 후기로 갈수록 고전적인 소나타, 론도의 형식에서 확장하고 발전된 형식이 나타난다. 특히 대담한 화성과 반음계적 3도 관계의 전조의 사용, 극적인 다이나믹 등으로 슈베르트의 개성이 드러난다. 슈베르트의 <바이올린과 피아노를 위한 론도 in b minor, D. 895>에서도 이러한 고전성과 낭만성의 결합이 나타난다. 우선, 이 작품은 A-B-A-C-A-Coda의 5부분 론도 형식이며, 단순한 텍스쳐와 노래하기 쉬운 선율로 진행되는 부분에서 고전주의적인 면을 볼 수 있다. 하지만 각 주제와 에피소드들이 진행되고 반복되며, 화성을 발전시키고 전조를 하는 과정에서 낭만주의적인 면을 보인다. 특히 반음계적 3도 관계의 전조를 많이 사용하며, 전조가 빠르게 이루어진다. 또한, 부가음이 있는 화음이나 증 6화음 등의 사용으로 낭만적이고 다채로운 화성을 느낄 수 있다. 본 논문은 슈베르트의 <바이올린과 피아노를 위한 론도 in b minor, D. 895>의 작곡 배경과 선율, 리듬, 화성을 바탕으로 한 형식 분석을 통해 그의 음악에서 고전성과 낭만성의 조화를 살펴본 논문이다.;This study presents an analytical examination of Franz Peter Schubert's (1797-1828) work, <Rondo in b minor for Violin and Piano, D. 895>, which exhibits romanticism within a classical framework. Classical and Romantic music differ in their approach to balance and harmony. In the 18th-century Classical era, the galant style emerged, characterized by melodic short phrases and homophonic textures. The music of this period features clear, regular rhythms and smooth, lyrical melodies. In contrast, 19th-century Romantic music sought to express the artist's emotions and individuality, often using dissonance and chromatic tones to create more expressive harmonies and frequent modulations to distant keys. Franz Peter Schubert, who lived during the transition between these two eras, embodies both classical and romantic elements in his music. His melodic development retains a classical sensibility, while his use of harmony and modulation demonstrates romantic characteristics. As F. Schubert's career progressed, his compositions evolved to show expanded and developed forms of the classical sonata and rondo. Notably, his bold harmonies, chromatic mediant modulations, and dramatic dynamics increasingly highlighted his unique style. In F. Schubert's <Rondo in b minor for Violin and Piano, D. 895>, the blend of classical and romantic elements is evident. The piece follows a five-part rondo form (A-B-A-C-A-Coda) and features classical traits such as simple textures and singable melodies. However, the progression and repetition of themes and episodes, along with the development of harmony and modulations, reveal romantic characteristics. The frequent use of chromatic mediant modulations, rapid key changes, and harmonies enriched with added notes and augmented sixth chords contribute to the romantic and colorful harmonic landscape. This study examines the fusion of classical and romantic elements in F. Schubert's <Rondo in b minor for Violin and Piano, D. 895> through an analysis of its compositional background, musical form, and harmonic progression.
