Abstract

This paper is a research process that metaphorically expresses human society through ceramic ants. The researcher was interested in ant ecosystems and human society. Ants ecosystems are visually attractive, and their social structure and behavioral patterns are similar to human society and provide many insights. Therefore, the researcher intends to present a new perspective and solution on human society by examining the similarities and differences between ants and human society through the study of ant social biology, and by acquiring the insights provided by ants and applying them to works that represent modern society. The characteristics of ants in sociobiology have been studied significantly. Ant provides important insights to humans from a sociobiological point of view, and the behavior of ants and specific examples of society are studied in Chapter II. The researcher considered the main keywords of ant society as altruistic cooperation. Therefore, we studied altruistic cases ranging from their large social structure to a single individual. By examining the significance and limitations of their altruistic cooperation in ant behavior, we tried to explore similarities and differences with human society through case studies of ant behavior and to derive an in- depth understanding through this. In addition, by examining the deep insights provided by ant behavior and social organization and applying them to ceramic works representing modern society, we intend to present a new perspective and solution. In Chapter III, by exploring how to interpret ants and use them as materials in modern society, we tried to find rational communication through works by referring to contemporary ideas reflecting a universal perspective. Ant is used metaphorically in modern society. In verbal metaphors such as oral culture and internet memes, it appears as a small and powerless character with diligent and sincere symbols, and has established itself as a symbolic presence that inspires and encourages. In nonverbal metaphors such as visual art and formative art, ants are used as visual elements to express grotesque with diligent and sincere symbolism. Ant metaphors used as metaphors in our daily lives and media study how they reflect individual thoughts and emotions and apply the symbolic meaning of ants to the production of works. Chapter IV conveys the message of the researcher by metaphorizing human society through ceramic ants through the study of the work, and aims to provide an opportunity to understand the complexity and diversity of society. Researchers who had questions about society tried to express questions they wanted to ask themselves and others through their works. The ants in the work are a means of metaphorizing humans and human society, and act as a mask that hides the researcher himself in the work. It represents a human society metaphorized as ants, raises questions about contemporary problems, and through this, it aims to convey an opportunity to consider individuals and society. Researchers who doubted and questioned art through this study found that the ultimate goal of artists is not to achieve biological prosperity like ants. The researcher chose a meme life that widely imprints my thoughts, thoughts, and art, which are cultural genes, rather than biological gene transmission. Therefore, for researchers, ceramic ants are the cultural genes of researchers and are a means of spreading thoughts, thoughts, and art. We hope that this study will be a positive direction for art creation and prepare the next cultural gene.;본 논문은 도자개미를 통해 인간 사회를 은유적으로 표현한 연구과정을 담은 논고이다. 연구자는 개미 생태계와 인간 사회에 관심이 많았다. 개미는 시 각적으로 매력적이며, 그들의 사회 구조와 행동 양식은 인간 사회와 유사하고 많은 통찰력을 제공한다. 이에 연구자는 개미의 사회생물학 연구를 통해 개미 와 인간 사회의 유사성과 차이를 살펴보고, 개미가 제공하는 통찰력을 획득하 여 이를 현대 사회를 나타낸 작품에 적용함으로써 인간 사회에 대한 새로운 시 각과 해결책을 제시하고자 한다. 사회생물학에서 개미의 특성은 유의미하게 연구되어왔다. 사회생물학적인 측면에서 개미는 인간에게 중요한 통찰력을 제공해 주는데, 그러한 개미의 행 동과 사회의 구체적인 사례를 II장에서 연구한다. 연구자는 개미 사회의 주요 키워드를 이타적 협력으로 보았다. 따라서 그들의 큰 사회구조에서부터 하나의 개체에 이르기까지의 이타적인 사례를 연구하였다. 개미들의 행동에 나타난 그 들의 이타적 협력의 의의와 한계를 살펴보며, 개미 행동의 사례 연구를 통해 인간 사회와의 유사성과 차이를 탐구하고, 이를 통해 심층적인 이해를 이끌어 내고자 하였다. 더불어 개미의 행동과 사회 조직이 제공하는 깊은 통찰력을 살 펴보고 이를 현대사회를 나타낸 도자 작품에 적용함으로써 새로운 시각과 해결 책을 제시하고자 한다. III장에서는 현대 사회에서 개미를 어떻게 해석하고 소재로 활용하는지 탐구함으로써, 보편적인 시각을 반영한 동시대적 발상을 참고하며 작품을 통한 합 리적인 의사소통을 모색하고자 하였다. 개미는 현대 사회에서 은유적으로 사용 되고 있다. 구술문화와 인터넷 밈(meme) 등 언어적 메타포에서는 근면하고 성 실한 상징과 함께 작고 힘없는 캐릭터로 등장하며 영감과 격려를 주는 상징적 인 존재로 자리 잡고 있다. 영상예술과 조형예술 등 비언어적 메타포에서 개미 는 근면하고 성실한 상징성과 함께 그로테스크함을 표현하는 시각적인 요소로 사용된다. 우리의 일상과 매체에서 은유로 사용되는 개미 메타포는 개인의 생각과 감정을 어떻게 반영하고 있는지에 대해 연구하며, 개미가 함의하는 상징 적인 의미를 작품 제작에 적용한다. IV장은 작품 연구로 도자개미를 통해 인간 사회를 은유함으로써 연구자의 메시지를 전달하며, 사회의 복잡성과 다양성을 이해할 수 있는 기회를 제공하 고자 한다. 사회에 대한 의문을 갖던 연구자는 자신과 타인에게 던지고 싶은 질문을 작품을 통해 나타내고자 했다. 작품 속 개미는 인간과 인간 사회를 은 유하는 수단이자, 연구자 자신을 작품 속에 숨겨놓는 가면적 역할을 한다. 개 미로 은유한 인간 사회를 나타내며 동시대적 문제에 대한 질문을 제기하고, 이 를 통해 개인과 사회에 대한 고찰을 할 수 있는 기회를 전달하고자 한다. 예술에 대해 의심하고 의문을 품던 연구자는 본 연구를 통해 예술가의 입장에서는 개미처럼 생물학적 번성을 이루는 것이 궁극적인 목표가 아니라는 것을 발견했다. 연구자는 생물학적 유전자 전파가 아닌, 문화적 유전자인 나의 생각, 사상, 예술을 널리 각인시키는 밈(meme) 적인 삶을 선택한 것이다. 따라서 연 구자에게 도자개미는 연구자의 문화적 유전자로 생각, 사상, 예술을 퍼뜨리는 수단인 것이다. 본 연구가 예술 창작의 긍정적인 방향이 되어주기를 기대하며 다음 문화적 유전자를 준비하고자 한다.
