The importance of natural products is increasing due to their contribution to drug development. In particular, marine microorganisms can be considerable assets of abundant natural products with diverse biological activities. Also, plants have been used as traditional medicine for decades. In this study, two marine-derived microorganisms and a plant were investigated for their chemical components to discover natural products with biological activities. In the research, one new compound (1) was isolated from marine-derived microorganism Bacillus sp. SNB-066, and three previously reported compounds (2-4) were isolated from marine-derived Nocardiopsis sp. CNT-189. Furthermore, seven known compounds (5-11) were isolated from Sorbus commixta. The chemical structure of new natural compound (1) was determined by extensive MS, UV, and NMR spectroscopic data analysis, while chemical structures of known compounds (2-11) were identified from the comparison of NMR data to those of reported ones.-
