코로나19 발생 후 음악치료 세션 현황과 음악치료사의 감염관리 인식 및 실천에 관한 조사연구

Abstract

The purpose of the present study is to investigate the current status of music therapy sessions in accordance with the outbreak of COVID-19, along with changes in session environment, and the awareness and practice of music therapists toward infection control. The subjects of the study were 105 professional music therapists with professional music therapy qualifications, who graduated from a regular music therapy degree course domestically or overseas. The survey was conducted over 4 days, from June 8 to June 11, 2020, with an online survey collecting data on the current status of music therapy sessions, changes in the session environment since the outbreak of COVID-19, and the awareness and practice of therapists toward infection control before and after the outbreak of COVID-19. First, the research results revealed that 92.4% of music therapy sessions were suspended with the outbreak of COVID-19, of which 75.3% were subsequently resumed. The period of resumption was spread out from mid-February to mid-May, with 50% of sessions resuming between mid-March and early May. When conducting their sessions after the outbreak of COVID-19, music therapists considered the physical environment and activities in order to contain the risk of infection. Second, the change in the awareness of music therapists toward infection control is revealed by significant results in matters involving instruments, activities, and miscellaneous items, with awareness toward the overall risk of infection during music therapy undergoing the greatest level of change. Third, in terms of change in the practice of infection control by music therapists, significant results were yielded in matters involving therapists, clients, session environment, and articles, with the greatest change in practice appearing in the item ‘I make my clients wear masks regardless of any symptoms when doing a session during this epidemic.’ Fourth, a comparison of infection control regulations by type of agency, specifically, private institutions, welfare institutions, educational institutions, medical institutions, and government support facilities, which are required to follow regulations during sessions since the outbreak of COVID-19, reveals educational institutions require the highest level of regulations, followed by medical institutions. By investigating the awareness and practice of music therapists toward infection control, the study presents basic data on infection control, and is significant in that it expands corresponding data for similar situations in the future, in addition to bolstering the expertise of music therapists.;본 연구의 목적은 코로나바이스러스(COVID-19)가 발생함에 따른 음악치료 세션 현황과 세션 환경의 변화, 음악치료사들의 감염관리 인식 및 실천을 조사하는 것이다. 연구대상은 국내외 정규 음악치료 학위 과정을 졸업하고 전문 음악치료사 자격증을 보유한 105명의 전문 음악치료사들이다. 설문은 2020년 6월8일부터 2020년 6월11일까지 약 4일 동안 진행되었으며 온라인 설문지를 통해 음악치료 세션 현황, COVID-19 발생 후 세션 환경의 변화, COVID-19 발생 전과 후의 감염관리 인식 및 실천에 대하여 수집하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, COVID-19 발생 후에 음악치료사들의 세션은 92.4%가 중단되었으며, 이 중 75.3%가 재개되었다. 재개 시기는 2월 중순부터 5월 중순까지 분포되어 있고, 3월 중순에서 5월 초 사이에 약 50% 이상의 세션이 재개되었다. 음악치료사는 COVID-19 발생 후 세션 진행 시, 감염위험을 방지하기 위해 물리적 환경과 활동을 고려하였다. 둘째, 음악치료사의 감염관리 인식의 변화는 악기 관련, 활동 관련, 기타 관련 항목에서 모두 유의미한 결과를 나타냈고, 음악치료의 전반적인 감염 위험성에 대한 인식 변화가 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 음악치료사의 감염관리 실천에 대한 변화는 치료사, 내담자, 세션 환경 및 물품 관련 항목에서 모두 유의미한 결과를 나타냈고‘감염병 유행시기에 세션을 할 경우 증상에 상관없이 내담자에게 마스크를 착용시킨다’문항에 대한 실천변화가 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, COVID-19 발생 후에 세션 시 요구되는 기관 유형별 감염관리 수칙을 비교한 결과, 사설기관, 복지기관, 교육기관, 의료기관, 국가지원시설 중 교육기관에서 가장 높게 나타났으며, 다음으로 의료기관이 높게 나타났다. 본 연구는 음악치료사의 감염관리 인식 및 실천을 조사함으로써 감염관리에 대한 기초자료를 제시하고, 향후 유사한 상황에 대한 대응자료 및 음악치료사의 전문성 확대에 의의가 있다.
