Niccolò Paganini의 Variations on One String on a Theme by Rossini for Cello and Piano에 대한 연구

Abstract

본 논문의 목적은 니콜로 파가니니(Niccolò Paganini, 1782-1840)의 <첼로와 피아노를 위한 로시니의 주제에 의한 한 개의 현을 위한 변주곡>(Variations on One String on a Theme by Rossini for Cello and Piano)에 대한 연구이다. 이 작품은 그 당시 인기가 있었던 오페라의 선율을 바탕으로 작곡되었고, 바이올린과 오케스트라를 위해 작곡된 것을 후에 바이올린과 피아노를 위해 편곡했고 이것을 다시 첼로와 피아노를 위해 편곡한 것이다. 또한 첼로의 네 개의 현 중 하나만을 가지고 연주한다. <첼로와 피아노를 위한 로시니의 주제에 의한 한 개의 현을 위한 변주곡>을 통해 19세기 전반 작곡가이며 연주가로 활약한 파가니니의 인생과 그의 작품 속에 나타나는 새로운 음역과 음색에 대한 탐구에 대해 알아볼 것이다. 또한 작품 해석에서는 도입부의 특징과 주제의 특징, 변주 1, 2, 3의 특징과 공통점, 연주상의 특징에 대해 연구할 것이다. 이 연구를 통해 작품 연주에 필요한 지식을 얻고 구체적인 작품 해석 방법의 범위를 넒힐 것이다. ;Composed by Niccolò Paganini (1782-1840), Variations on One String on a Theme by Rossini was originally composed for violin and orchestra. However, it was arranged for cello and piano and is now performed by many cellists. This piece based on the famous aria from the opera "Mosè in Egitto" by Gioachino Rossini (1792-1868). In the early 19th century, instrumental virtuosos wrote works showing off their technique by splendidly decorating the melodies of popular operas due to the active concert culture and the influence of opera. One example is this work, which has an introduction, a theme, and three variations. Virtuosos and concert culture, attracting audiences with familiar melodies, existed at the time, in the introduction, a theme and its three variations, Paganini performed various characteristics and string instrument techniques. This analysis demonstrates the cello performance techniques that has in this piece. This thesis proposes that a concrete understanding of virtuosic pieces will contribute to the interpretation of the performance.
