Indonesia continues to observe female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C), a practice that has declined worldwide in the last thirty years. The statistics indicate that FGM/C is especially prevalent among young girls. This research examines the intricate terrain of FGM/C in Indonesia, with a specific emphasis on the government's position, policies, and interventions. This study aims to clarify the government's ambiguous stance on FGM/C and examine how this ambiguity affects efforts to eradicate the practice. The investigation is guided by two fundamental inquiries: the influence of stakeholder coordination on the reduction of FGM/C practices and the formation of government policies. By examining the dynamic interaction among religious beliefs, community pressures, cultural values, and governmental initiatives, this research reveals an intricate connection that impedes the formulation of efficacious policies. Further emphasizing the importance of stakeholder coordination, the results offer valuable insights for policymakers striving to eradicate female genital mutilation and circumcision in Indonesia. This study bridges the divide in the literature regarding FGM/C research in Indonesia and provides policymakers with insightful information that is beneficial in their efforts to eliminate this detrimental practice.;인도네시아에서는 지난 30년 동안 전 세계적으로는 감소한 여성할례(FGM/C)가 계속적으로 관찰되고 있습니다.
