생태 소양 함양을 위한 에코페미니즘 시 교육 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 생태 소양 함양을 위한 에코페미니즘 시 교육 내용을 마련하는 것이다. 생태 소양은 인간이 자연, 그리고 비인간 생명체와 더불어 살아가기 위해 갖춰야 하는 인지적, 정의적, 실천적 능력으로서, 생태 위기를 극복하기 위한 인간다움의 자질로 새롭게 요구되고 있다. 에코페미니즘 시의 관심 역시 생태 위기 시대의 새로운 인간다움을 성찰하는 것이다. 이를 위해 자연과 여성의 관계를 바탕으로 자연-인간의 평화로운 공존과 조화를 지향하고, 여성적 윤리로서 생태 윤리에 대해 사유한다. 학습자들은 에코페미니즘 시를 읽으며 기존과 다른 관점에서 생태 문제를 조망하고 새로운 대안을 모색할 수 있는 생태적 인간으로 성장할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 생태 소양 교육과 에코페미니즘 시 교육의 접점을 마련하고, 실제 교육 현장에서 실천할 수 있는 구체적인 교육 내용을 마련하고자 한다. Ⅱ장에서는 생태 소양 함양을 위한 에코페미니즘 시 교육의 이론적 전제를 다룬다. 우선 에코페미니즘과 생태주의의 관계, 그리고 생태 소양 교육과의 관계를 살펴봄으로써 에코페미니즘 시가 생태문학교육에서 차지하는 위치를 확인하였다. 또한 에코페+미니즘 시 교육의 가능성을 확인하기 위하여 주요 개념인 자연, 몸, 모성성을 바탕으로 교육적 가치를 탐색하였다. 에코페미니즘 시는 몸을 기반으로 자연을 이해하며, 여성의 삶과 경험 속에서 관계적 윤리를 발견하고자 한다. 본 연구는 이러한 에코페미니즘 시의 특질이 생태 소양 교육에 대해 효과적인 접근을 가능케 한다고 평가하였다. Ⅲ장에서는 작품의 분석을 통해 생태 소양 함양을 위한 에코페미니즘 시 읽기의 내용을 구체화하였다. 에코페미니즘 시가 형상화하는 인간의 몸은 횡단성, 생산성, 순환성을 바탕으로 자연과 관계를 맺는다. 학습자는 몸을 가진 존재로서 몸을 통해 세계를 바라보며 생태적 인식을 확장하게 된다. 생태적 인식을 바탕으로 학습자는 자연과의 연결 관계를 잃은 현대적 삶에 대해 자각하고 이를 비판적으로 인식할 수 있다. 그리고 이를 복원할 수 있는 관계적 윤리로서 모성성을 새롭게 발견하게 된다. 모성적 윤리는 나와 이질적인 존재를 관대하게 포용하고 배려하는 관계의 윤리라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 윤리적 태도는 타자와 관계 맺음에 있어 자신의 독립적인 주체성을 고집하지 않는 것으로 나타나며, 이 과정에서 탈중심화된 생태적 자아가 형성된다. 생태적 자아는 자아 중심성에 대한 맹목적 신뢰와 오만한 태도를 버림으로써 형성되는 것이다. 이를 바탕으로 상호연결된 관계망 속에서 나와 동등한 위상을 지닌 타자와 의미 있는 만남이 가능해진다. Ⅳ장에서는 Ⅲ장의 내용을 바탕으로 생태 소양 함양을 위한 에코페미니즘 시 교육의 목표와 내용을 설정하였다. 에코페미니즘 시 교육의 목표로 첫째, 몸에 근거하여 생태적 인식을 함양하고, 둘째, 경이를 통해 생태적 감수성을 함양하며, 셋째, 관계적 사유로서 생태 윤리를 내면화하는 것을 제안한다. 이와 같은 목표를 달성하기 위하여 몸을 바탕으로 자연을 새롭게 인식하고 근본 기분으로서 경이감을 회복하여 자연과의 연결감을 다시금 되찾도록 교육 내용을 마련하였다. 또한 관계적 사유로서 모성적 윤리를 추구하며, 타자와 건강한 관계 맺음을 바탕으로 생태적 자아를 형성하고 타자와 윤리적으로 공존할 수 있는 생태 공동체를 지향할 수 있는 교육 내용을 구성하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 생태문학교육의 새로운 방향성으로서 에코페미니즘 시 교육의 가능성을 확인해보고자 하였다. 자연과 여성, 몸은 현대 사회에서 중요한 화두이다. 에코페미니즘 시는 이러한 개념들을 총체적으로 다루는 동시에 생태 위기를 성찰하게 하는 효과적인 교육 제재라 할 수 있다. 때문에 본 연구에서는 에코페미니즘 시의 구체적인 내용 요소들을 밝히는 것에 주안점을 두었다. 그 준거의 틀을 생태 소양의 영역으로 삼아 실제 현장에서 활용될 수 있도록 하였다. 이 연구를 통해 에코페미니즘 시의 생태 교육적 의의가 보다 부각되고, 구체적인 교육 방안과 교육적 실천이 뒤따르기를 기대한다.;The aim of this study is to develop educational contents for ecofeminist poetry education within the context of fostering ecological literacy. Ecological literacy encompasses the cognitive, ethical, and practical abilities that humans need to live in harmony with nature and non-human beings, and it is increasingly demanded in contemporary society as a means to overcome ecological crises. In this context, ecofeminism explores a new understanding of human nature in the face of ecological crisis. The study aims to promote peaceful coexistence and harmony between nature and humans by focusing on the relationship between nature and women. Through engagement with ecofemist poetry, learners can gain a fresh perspective on ecological issues and become ecologically intelligent individuals capable of seeking alternative solutions. Therefore, this study aims to establish a connection between ecological literacy education and ecofemist poetry education and provide specific educational contents that can be implemented in real educational settings. The second chapter delves into the theoretical foundations of ecofemist poetry education for nurturing ecological literacy. It examines the relationship between ecofeminism and environmentalism, as well as the connection between ecofemist poetry and ecological education. Through this exploration, the study establishes the position of ecofeminist poetry within the realm of ecological literary education. Furthermore, it conducts a study to determine the educational value of ecofeminist poetry based on key concepts such as nature, body, and maternity. In the third chapter, the analysis of literary works is employed to elucidate the contents of ecofeminist poetry reading, which contribute to fostering ecological literacy. Ecofemist poetry portrays the relationship between the human body and nature, emphasizing transversality, productivity, and cyclicity. Learners, as embodied beings, broaden their ecological cognition by perceiving the world through their bodies. This heightened ecological cognition enables learners to critically recognize the disconnection from nature in contemporary life. Moreover, they discover the significance of maternity as a relational ethic that can restore this disconnection. Maternal ethics are understood as an ethical framework that embraces and cares for otherness, without insisting on one's independent subjectivity in relationships. This transformative process leads to the formation of a decentered ecological self, which abandons blind trust in egocentrism and arrogant attitudes. The result is meaningful encounters with others who hold equal status within interconnected networks of relationships. The fourth chapter establishes the objectives and contents of ecofeminist poetry education for cultivating ecological cognition, building upon the insights from the previous chapter. The first objective is to cultivate ecological awareness through a focus on the human body. The second objective is to foster ecological sensitivity through experiencing wonder in nature. The third objective is to promote the internalization of ecological ethics through relational reasoning. The educational contents are designed to facilitate a fresh understanding of nature, restore a sense of wonder as a fundamental sentiment, and rediscover the sense of connection with nature. It also aims to nurture maternal ethics as a form of relational reasoning, foster an ecological self through healthy relationships with others, and strive for an ecological community where ethical coexistence is possible. This study explores the potential of ecofeminist poetry education as a new direction in ecological literary education, addressing the prominent topics of nature, women, and the body in contemporary society. Ecofeminist poetry comprehensively addresses these concepts while also prompting reflection on the ecological crisis, making it a powerful educational approach. The study sheds light on the specific elements of ecofeminist poetry, creating a framework that can be effectively applied in real-world contexts. This study is expected to serve as a catalyst for increasing awareness of the ecological educational significance of ecofeminist poetry and for the subsequent development of specific approaches to effectively teach ecofeminist poetry.
