R. Schumann의 『그림동화 Op.113』 (Märchenbilder Op.113) 분석 연구

Abstract

This study researched and analyzed (Märchenbilder, Op.113), the only work for soloing viola by German composer Robert Schumann (1810-1856). Inspired by the poem in the letter from the poet Louis Du Rieux (1824-1868), " Märchenbilder" which was named as the title of Schumann's work, shows that literary elements are an important part of Schumann's musical life that mixes greatly with music. In order to understand Schumann's musical characteristics, (Märchenbilder, Op.113) examined how the 19th century romantic musical elements harmonized with the classical style framework. In addition, based on the addition of Schumann's romantic musical characteristics along with literary elements, I hope that it will serve as a foundation for the performer to understand and interpret the work of (Märchenbilder, Op.113).;본 논문은 독일의 작곡가 슈만(Robert Schumann, 1810-1856)의 비올라 독주를 위한 유일한 실내악 작품인『그림동화』(Märchenbilder, Op. 113)에 관한 연구이다. 19세기 낭만주의 대표 작곡가인 슈만은 시, 가곡, 단편 문학 등의 문학적 요소로부터 영감을 받아 가사를 가져오고, 자신의 음악에 표제로 사용하며 여러 개의 캐릭터 피스를 하나의 모음곡 형태로 묶은 성격 소품(Character Piece) 장르를 구축하였다. 본 논문에서 다루는『그림동화 (Märchenbilder, Op. 113) 작품 또한 4개의 짧은 소품들로 구성된 비올라와 피아노를 위한 성격 소품 작품이다. 필자는『그림동화』(Märchenbilder, Op. 113)를 연구하는 과정에서 슈만의 작품의 표제로 붙여진 ‘Märchenbilder(그림동화)’의 문학적 작품을 찾아 그의 음악적 색채와 함께 작품 속에서 보여주고자 하는 이야기가 무엇인지 알아보고, 전반적인 슈만의 생애를 그의 시기별 작곡 특징 기준으로 나누어 그의 심리와 정서 변화도 함께 살펴보려 한다. 이를 토대로 작품의 배경인 19세기의 낭만주의적인 음악적 요소들이 고전주의 형식의 틀과 어떻게 조화를 이루는지 알아보고, 각 악장에 나타나는 음악적 형식 및 화성 진행, 특징적인 리듬의 사용, 선율구조를 파악하여 그에 따른 연주법을 분석해 보고자 한다.
