Abstract

본 논문은 필자가 연주한 석사 학위 과정 졸업 연주곡목인 베토벤(Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827)의 <바이올린과 피아노를 위한 소나타 작품번호 12, 1번>, 슈만(Robert Alexander Schumann, 1810-1856)의 <바이올린과 피아노를 위한 소나타 작품번호 105, 1번>, 사라사테(Pablo de Sarasate, 1844-1908)의 <Carmen Fantasy,Op.25>에 대한 연구이다. 본 연구의 목표는 작곡가마다 나타나는 음악적 해석과 곡의 이해도를 향상하기 위함이다. 이에 따라 연주자로서 작품에 대한 배경 지식과 각 악장에서 부분별로 연주 방식을 분석하여 작곡가만의 고유한 음악적 특징을 표현하는 것에 관한 연구를 하는 것이다. 베토벤의 <바이올린 소나타 작품번호 12, 1번>은 3곡의 소나타 작품집에 포함하는 초기 작품이다. 시기로 구분할 때, 이 작품은 모차르트의 후기 바이올린 소나타의 영향을 받았고 피아노와 바이올린이 동등한 위치로 부상한다는 것이 특징이다. 특히, 베토벤이 살았던 시대적 환경을 접목한 그의 생애와 음악적 특징, 작품 배경을 알아보았고, 다양한 악상 대비 사용과 음정 관계, 각 악장의 형식 및 구조를 통해 베토벤만의 개성적인 음악 특징을 연구하였다. 이러한 작품의 특징은 곡의 분석을 통해 간략히 나타나 있다. 슈만의 <바이올린 소나타 작품번호 105, 1번>은 그의 바이올린 소나타 3곡 중 한 곡이다. 이 작품은 베토벤과 브람스의 독일 낭만주의 바이올린 소나타만큼 연주에 있어서 대중화되지 않았지만 세 작품 중에 가장 간결한 구성으로 된 곡이다. 음악적 표현은 낭만주의의 시적인 서정성으로 가득하고 거칠고 정열적이다. 사라사테의 <Carmen Fantasy,Op.25>는 비제(Georges Bizet, 1838-1875)의 <Carmen> 오페라 작품의 줄거리를 토대로 둔 바이올린과 오케스트라를 위한 곡으로 편곡한 작품이다. <Carmen Fantasy, Op.25>의 특징은 <Carmen>의 일부 막의 주제를 선정하여 바이올린의 화려하고 변화무쌍한 기교가 나타나 있다는 것이다. 이와 더불어 원본 오페라 작품과는 구체적으로 어떤 부분을 적용하여 작곡했는지에 대해서 논의하였다. 본 논문은 베토벤, 슈만, 사라사테의 생애와 작품들을 분석하고 작곡가의 음악적 표현을 이해하는 것이 목표이다. 위의 세 작곡가의 바이올린 소나타, 작품은 분석할 때 해석에 필수적인 음악 용어를 제시하였고, 연주자로서 지켜야 할 음악적 부분을 고찰하였다고 볼 수 있다. 그리고 각각의 작품마다 시기적 구분을 통해 음악적 특징을 분류하였고, 화성과 선율 등의 변화를 통한 연주 방식을 통해 작곡가의 개성을 표현하는 것을 언급하였다.;The theme of this paper is to study and analyze Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827)'s Violin Sonata No.1 in D Major, Op.12, Robert Alexander Schumann(1810-1856)'s Violin Sonata No.1 Op.105 and Pablo de Sarasate(1844-1908)'s Camen fantasy Op.25 through the life and musical characteristics of the composer. L.v.Beethoven Violin Sonata No.1, Op.12 is the most classical sonata of counterpoint characteristics, including F.J.Haydn and W.A.Mozart, in the first period. This work consisted of a sonata in the first movement, a theme and 4 Variations in the second movement, and a rondo in the third movement. Beethoven's original musical characteristics are centered on the role of piano and violin through harmony and melody in the first movement, the rhythm technique shown in each theme and variation in the second movement, and the continuity of octave rhythm in the third movement. On top of that, this work that influenced by W.A.Mozart Violin Sonata K.454 has an important musical feature in that it has the equality of piano and violin. R.Schumann Violin Sonata No.1, Op.105 was not well-known as a 19th-century sonata with romantic sensibilities. The first movement, which is in the form of a sonata, proceeds with the unstable flow of music intended by R.Schumann in hemiola rhythm and harmony. The second movement is Rondo and represents the counterpoint role of the two instruments through the relationship between an incomplete chord. The third movement, a sonata, has a toccata style and a stretto technique. Thus, this piece is applied to Baroque musical styles. P.de.Sarasate Carmen Fantasy, Op.25 is consisted of a total of five movements. In each movement, the violin was brilliantly expressed in various ways of performing the roles of characters and orchestras by applying the plot, and song in Bizet's opera. Also, The work used a unique Spanish dance rhythm to remind people of an exotic Carmen figure. Through this, it has a very gypsy musical character. This paper applied music theory and the music style of the times to understand the individuality of the three composers. Overall, an important part of music was analyzed, and through this, understanding about all the intentions of the composer emerged as a limitation of the study. In addition, the study of the musical flow and tone intended by the composer in the relationship between composition and harmony was presented as a follow-up study. Therefore, through the analysis of the three works, the common musical characteristics and the composer's intentions were identified, the interpretive level and performance ability were improved.
