Abstract

본 논문은 저자의 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주 프로그램인 모차르트(Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, 1756-1791)의 『Rondo in a minor, K.511』, 드뷔시(Claude Achille Debussy, 1862-1918)의 『Suite bergamasque, L. 75』, 그리고 브람스(Johannes Brahms, 1833-1897)의 『Piano Sonata No.1 in C Major, Op.1』에 대한 작품해설이다. 모차르트는 고전주의 시대를 대표하는 작곡가로, 600곡이 넘는 작품들 안에 유럽 전역의 표현기법을 다채롭게 녹여낸 작곡가이다. 『Rondo in a minor, K.511』은 그가 1787년 작곡한 작품으로, 론도로서는 흔치 않은 단조 조성으로 작곡되었으며, 반음계적 진행과 동형진행, 악상의 대비가 극명하게 나타난다. 이 논문에서는 모차르트의 생애와 음악적 특징을 살펴보고, 『Rondo in a minor, K.511』에 사용된 표현기법들을 분석하고자 한다. 드뷔시는 프랑스를 대표하는 작곡가로, 상징주의 문학과 인상주의 회화의 영향을 받았다. 『Suite bergamasque, L. 75』는 드뷔시가 1890년에 작곡하기 시작해 1905년에 출판된 작품으로 <전주곡(Prélude)>, <미뉴에트(Menuet)>, <달빛(Clair de lune)>, <빠스삐예(Passepied)> 총 4개의 곡으로 이루어져 있으며, 전형적인 조곡의 형태를 갖고 있다. 이 논문에서는 드뷔시의 생애와 음악적 특징을 살펴보고, 『Suite bergamasque, L. 75』에 나타나는 교회선법과 확장된 화성의 사용을 알아보고자 한다. 브람스는 낭만주의시대 작곡가였지만, 화려하고 두터운 화성과 극명한 대비가 이루어지는 낭만주의적 표현을 고전시대의 음악 구조 안에 담아냈다. 1853년에 작곡한 『Piano Sonata No.1 in C Major, Op.1』는 고전시대의 전형적인 소나타 구조를 가지고 있으며, 제1악장은 소나타 알레그로 형식, 제2악장은 독일 민요의 선율을 기반으로 한 변주곡, 제3악장은 3부 형식의 스케르초, 마지막 제4악장은 론도 형식으로 구성된다. 이 논문은 브람스의 생애와 음악적 특징을 살펴보고, 『Piano Sonata No.1 in C Major, Op.1』의 화성과 작품구성을 분석하고자 한다.;This study is a program annotation of piano works performed in the author’s graduation recital for the master’s degree. The works are W. A. Mozart’s『Rondo in a minor, K.511』, C. A. Debussy’s 『Suite bergamasque, L.75』, and J. Brahms’s 『Piano Sonata No.1 in C Major, Op.1』. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) is a German composer who represented the Classical era. Mozart incorporated musical elements from all over Europe into the classical style and composed 『Rondo in a minor, K.511』 in 1787. This work is written in a 5-part rondo form and has a minor tonality, which is not common for a rondo. Part A, the principle theme, is characterized by a chromatic melodic line, and part B, the first episode, is contrapuntal. And the second episode, part C, starts with a major tonality, and is abundant in the contrast of articulation. Claude Achille Debussy (1862-1918) is a French composer and a transitional figure from the 19th century Romanticism to the 20th century. He freely used dissonances and various modes as well as emphasizing colorful sonorities of the piano. 『Suite bergamasque, L. 75』is one of Debussy’s early piano works, which Debussy started to compose in 1890 and was published in 1905. The work is a suite consisting of <Prélude>, <Menuet>, <Clair de lune>, and <Passepied>, and all four pieces are cast in a compound three-part form. Johannes Brahms (1833-1897), a representative 19th century composer, who fused romantic expressions within a structure of the classical period. 『Piano Sonata No.1 in C Major, Op.1』, composed in 1853, is in a traditional sonata scheme. The first movement is written in sonata allegro form with a clear exposition, development, and recapitulation, and the second movement is a theme on a German folk melody and variations. The third movement is a scherzo in a three-part form, and the fourth movement is cast in a rondo form.
