왜곡된 도시와 인간군상을 표현한 드로잉 조각 연구

Abstract

The purpose of the study and my work is based on the psychological factors of people, who are living in the metropolis and facing repetitive routines in their life. Observing the lives of modern people, who are living a continuous life, I would represent a rather distorted way than realistic. It begins with the record of the scenery of the metropolis and humanity. The drawing is motivated by the experience captured in our daily life and it is composed of free lines and distorted cities and shapes of human figures. The work reveals formal characteristics in the process of transforming the planar drawing into the form of a three-dimensional structure. The meaning of drawing sculpture expresses two-dimensional line drawing with the intention of remaining the original. Meanwhile, in the terms of meaningfulness of creation are revealed the recreation and healing characteristics. While drawing a line quickly, at that moment, the unconscious side is revealed through immersion. Therefore, due to immersion, it has self-healing characteristics by eliminating distracting thoughts. The sculpture, based on the drawing, expands its gaze from small events in the urban landscape to the wider category of society. In addition, the line elements, that are drawn on the paper, are emphasized and it represents a three-dimensional structure. In other words, it is transformed from line to side and while the side is combined with the other side, it becomes a three-dimensional structure. It is overlapped, scattered, and changed into more complex shapes. Compare with the beginning of the work, It also changed the attitude of works and improve structural stability while it remain a certain part of the formative characteristics. This study was conducted with the topic of drawing on the daily landscape in the city. As a result, it is represented that gradually developed painting, sculpture, and research and experiment of installation of work. Through this study, I would like to expand my knowledge of my work by deepening the subject of work with the experimental process.;본인은 대도시 생활의 반복되는 일상에서 마주하는 도시의 장면과 도시 안에서 살아가고 있는 인간군상에 대해 느끼는 심리적인 요인을 바탕으로 작업을 시작하였다. 연속되고 쳇바퀴를 도는 듯한 현대인의 삶에 대해 관찰함으로써 그에 대해 본인의 심리적이고 감정적인 요소들을 사실적으로 재현하는 것이 아닌 왜곡된 형태로 표현하였다. 본인의 작업은 대도시의 풍경과 인간군상을 드로잉으로 기록하는 것으로부터 출발한다. 드로잉은 일상에서 포착되는 경험을 창작의 동기로 삼았으며 그것은 연속해서 이어지는 자유로운 선들과 왜곡된 도시와 인체의 형상으로 이루어져 있다. 본 연구자의 작업은 선의 형태로 이루어진 평면 드로잉이 입체로 변화하는 과정에서 형식적 특성이 드러난다. 본인이 드로잉 조각이라 말하는 해당 형식의 조각은 2차원의 선 드로잉을 가능한 원본 그대로 살리고자 하는 의도를 담고 있다. 한편 창작 배경의 의미적 측면에서는 놀이 및 치유적 특성을 드러내고 있다. 빠른 속도로 그려나가는 선을 이용해 드로잉은 그 순간에 몰입을 통해 무의식적 측면을 드러낸다. 그리고 몰입으로 인해 잡념이 사라지는 효과로 인해 자기 치유적인 성격을 가진다. 이러한 드로잉을 바탕으로 한 조각들은 도시 풍경 속의 작은 사건들에서 더 넓은 범주의 사회의 일상으로 펼쳐지며 그 시선을 넓혀갔다. 또한 2차원인 종이에서의 평면성과 선적 요소가 강조되던 형태에서 나아가 3차원의 입체로 표현되며 선에서 면으로, 면과 면이 더해지며 입체성을 가지게 된다. 이들은 서로 겹쳐지고 흩어지며 더 복잡한 형상으로 변화한다. 이는 작업 초반에 추구했던 조형적 특징을 일정 부분 유지하며 구조적 안정성을 높였으며 창작 태도에도 변화를 보여주는 것이다. 본 연구는 도시 속 일상 풍경을 화두로 하여 드로잉 작업으로 진행되었고 그로 인해 점차 발전되어나간 회화, 조각, 설치 연구 및 실험이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해서 작업 주제의 심화 및 실험 과정을 통하여 본인 작품에 대한 전망을 넓히고자 한다.
