Johann Sebastian Bach의 Violin Sonata No.1 in G minor BWV1001에 대한 분석연구

Abstract

본 논문은 연구자의 석사과정 졸업 연주 프로그램 중 하나인 요한 세바스찬 바흐(Johann Sebastian Bach, 1685~1750)의「Six Violin Sonatas and Partitas, BWV1001-1006｣ 중 ｢Violin Sonata in G minor No. 1, BWV1001｣에 대한 시대 배경과 작품분석을 목적으로 한다. 본 작품은 바흐의 생애 중 일곱 번째 시기인 쾨텐(1717~1723) 시절에 작곡되었다. 이 무렵 바흐는 세속음악과 기악곡을 작곡하는 일에 전념했다. 쾨텐 궁정의 카펠마이스터로 재직 중이었던 그는 직업상 매달 궁정을 위해 정기적으로 칸타타 작곡에 전념할 수밖에 없던 바이마르 시절과는 다르게 클라비어나 오르간, 바이올린이나 첼로와 같은 악기를 위한 독주곡, 그리고 앙상블과 콘체르토, 소나타를 주류로 작곡했다. 쾨텐에서 한창 활동할 무렵에 작곡된 모든 작품의 화성은 모든 성부의 각 선율이 완벽하게 독립적이다. 즉 모든 성부가 자유롭고 유연하지만 각각의 경우에 이론의 여지가 없을 정도로 완벽했다. 특별히 그의 기법은 다성음악을 연주하기에 기술적 한계를 가졌던 현악 연주곡의 작곡에도 큰 꽃을 피운다. 「Violin Sonata in G minor No. 1, BWV1001」은 통주저음이 없는 단성음악에도 이러한 화성법을 시도한 대표적인 결과물이다. 본 논문은 두 가지를 서술한다. 첫째로, 바흐의 생애와 그중에서도 특별히 쾨텐 시대를 조명하고자 한다. 둘째로, 바로크 음악적 언어의 특징들을 설명하여 바흐의 본 작품에서 어떤 양식으로 드러나는지를 중심으로 악곡을 분석하여 본 작품의 의의를 드러내고자 한다. ;This Study is intended to analyze 「Violin Sonata in G minor No. 1, BWV1001」 which is a part of 「Six Violin Sonatas and Partitas, BWV1001-1006」 by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), one of the researchers' master graduate recital programs. The work was composed during the seventh period of Bach's life, during the time of Köthen (1717–1723). Around this time, Bach devoted himself to composing secular and instrumental music. As the Kapellmeister of the Court of Köthen during his tenure as a composer, he composed mainly soloists for instruments such as clavier, organ, violin and cello, as well as ensembles, concertos and sonatas. The harmony of all works composed at the height of Köthen's activities is completely independent of each melody of all voices. In other words, all voices were free and flexible, but in each case, they were so perfect without a doubt. In particular, his technique has a great influence on the composition of string music, which had technical limitations to play polyphony music. 「Violin Sonata in Gminor No. 1, BWV1001」 is a representative result of attempting harmony method even in monotone music of Baroque period. This Study focused on Bach's Köthen period and analyzes 『Violin Sonata No.1, BWV1001』 among his numerous instrumental music representing the period. In particular, by describing the musical language of Baroque music together, this Study reveals how Bach melted the culmination of Baroque music into this work, and how he developed the originality to complete the work.
