César Franck 《Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major》에 나타난 19세기 프랑스음악 특징과 연주법에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 세자르 프랑크(César Franck, 1822-1890)의 바이올린을 위한 작품 《바이올린과 피아노를 위한 소나타 A장조》(César Franck Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major, 1886)에 관한 분석적 연구와 연주법적 고찰을 담고 있다. 19세기 프랑스 음악과 후기 낭만주의 작곡가 프랑크의 음악을 깊이 있게 연구하고자 그의 유일무이한 바이올린과 피아노를 위한 이 작품을 논문 주제로 선정하게 되었다. 벨기에의 리에주(Liege)에서 출생하여 프랑스로 귀화한 작곡가이자 오르간 연주자인 프랑크가 활동하던 19세기는 시민혁명, 프랑스 혁명 등의 영향으로 혼란스럽고 불안정한 시기였고, 사람들은 자신들만의 정서와 감정을 표현하고 싶은 깊은 열정을 지니고 있던 때였다. 특히, 음악에서는 자유로운 반음계의 사용과 함께 다양한 화성적인 기법, 조성, 악기의 음색에 많은 변화를 추구하였다. 프랑크는 고전적 형식미와 낭만적 음악의 감성을 접목하여 교향곡, 실내악곡과 같은 프랑스의 순수 기악음악을 발전시켰다. 또한 후기 낭만주의의 대표적인 작곡가인 프랑크는 순환형식과 반음계를 사용하여 새로운 음악어법을 구축한 작곡가이다. 특히, 《바이올린과 피아노를 위한 소나타 A장조》는 프랑크의 음악적 세계관을 뚜렷이 드러내는 3기의 대표적인 소나타이다. 본격적인 연구에 앞서 프랑크가 활동하던 19세기 프랑스 시대적 배경과 음악적 특징을 알아보고 그의 생애와 음악적 특징을 선행적으로 고찰하였으며, 작품 분석과 바이올린 연주자들을 위한 적절한 연주법을 제시하여 프랑크의 음악을 깊이 이해하는데 도움이 되고자 한다.;This article contains analytical research and performance considerations for César Franck's Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major (1886). In order to study in depth the music of 19th-century French music and that of the late Romantic composer Frank, this work for his unique violin and piano was chosen as the subject of his thesis. The 19th century, when Frank active, was chaotic and precarious period under the influence of the Civil Revolution. he is a composer and organist born in Liege, of Belgium and he naturalized to France. And so on, the 19th century was a period that people had a deep passion to express their own sentiments and emotions. In particular, in music, with the use of a free chromatic scale, many changes were pursued in various Martian techniques, compositions, and tones of musical instruments. Frank combined classical formality with the sensibilities of romantic music to develop pure instrumental music in France, such as symphonies and chamber music. Frank, also a leading composer of Late Romanticism, was a composer who built a new musical language using his own cyclical forms and chromatic scales. In particular, Sonata for Violin and Piano in A major is a representative sonata of the 3rd Period, which clearly reveals Frank's musical outlook. Prior to full-fledged research of this article, this study examines the background and musical characteristics of 19th-century French period which Frank acted and considers his life and musical characteristics. Also seeks to analyze his works and suggest appropriate methods of performance for violin players, thus helping to gain a deeper understanding of Frank's music.
