문법화의 관점에서 본 '-ㄴ 것' 구성

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the grammatical stage of ‘-n kes’ structure in the internal head relative clauses and the noun clauses from the point of view of grammaticalization. From the perspective of the grammaticalization, there is little difference in appearance between the ‘-n kes’ structure in the internal head relative clauses and the noun clauses. Further more, by discussing the morphosyntaxique and the semantic meaning of ‘-n kes’ structure grammatical changes, this study revealed the relatives of their ‘-n kes’ structure’s form and semantic meaning. In preceding research, there were few researches on the relationship between the internal head relative clauses and the noun clauses. Thus, this study is meaningful to investigate the different semantic change’s process from the principle, mechanism and characteristics of grammaticalization. In the first chapter, the research purpose of this paper is revealed, and the current situation of the research on the structure of ‘-n kes’ in the internal head relative clauses and the noun clauses were discussed. In the second chapter, this study introduced the theoretical background related to grammaticalization theories, including the concepts, mechanisms and principles of grammaticalization. It also discussed the definition, scope and controversial points in previous studies of the ‘-n kes’ structure used in the internal head relative clauses and the noun clauses. In chapter3, this paper examined the features of the morphosyntaxique construction of the ‘-n kes’ structure of the internal head relative clauses and the noun clauses from the grammatical perspective. The paper researched the nominality of ‘kes’ in the ‘-n kes’ structure, the aspect of using the antecedence adnominal suffix, it also considered the combination of the prefinal ending '-ess-' and the postposition. By studying what was said above, this study confirmed how the ‘-n kes’ structure in the internal head relative clauses and the noun clauses changed in the morphosyntaxique during the grammaticalization process. Based on the discussion of formal characteristics in Chapter 3, Chapter 4 analyzed the semantic meaning of ‘-n kes’ structure and discussed the grammar principle and process of ‘-n kes’ structure. In this paper, the semantic characteristics of ‘-n kes’ structure in the grammar process and the correlation between formal and semantic grammaticalization are revealed. Chapter5 summarized the contents of this paper, drew conclusions, and revealed the deficiencies of this study.;본 연구는 문법화의 시각에서 출발하여 한국어 내핵관계절을 이끄는 ‘-ㄴ 것’과 명사절을 이끄는 ‘-ㄴ 것’ 구성이 문법화 과정에 있는 단계를 확인하여 대조적으로 연구하고 공통점과 차이점을 찾아내는 데 목적을 둔다. 문법화의 관점에서 외형상으로 보면 유사한 한국어 내핵관계절과 명사절에서 쓰인 ‘-ㄴ 것’ 구성의 형식과 의미적인 특성을 대조적으로 고찰하여 ‘-ㄴ 것’ 구성이 문법화 과정에서 나타내는 형태통사와 의미적인 변화를 검토하며 ‘-ㄴ 것’ 구성이 형식과 의미의 상관관계를 제시하는 것을 통하여 본고의 연구를 다루었다. 선행 논저에서 내핵관계절과 명사절을 대조적으로 논의한 경우가 많지 않아 문법화 원리, 기제, 특징 등 여러 측면에서 접근하여 두 가지 구성은 의미 변화에 있어 서로 다른 모습을 보여주는 것이 의의가 있다고 본다. 제1장에서 본고의 연구목적을 제시하여 내핵관계절과 명사절에서 쓰인 ‘-ㄴ 것’ 구성에 대한 선행 연구를 검토한다. 제2장에서 문법화 이론에 관한 이론적 배경을 기술한다. 주로 문법화의 개념, 기제 및 원리를 다룬다. 또 내핵관계절과 명사절이라는 두 가지 내포문에 대하여 정의 및 범위, 그리고 논의 쟁점이 될 만한 점을 논의한다. 제3장에서는 내핵관계절과 명사절에서 쓰인 ‘-ㄴ 것’ 구성은 형태구조적인 특징을 문법화의 관점에서 고찰한다. ‘-ㄴ 것’ 구성에서 ‘것’의 명사성, ‘것’을 선행하는 관형사형 어미의 사용 양상, ‘-ㄴ 것’ 구성과 인접하는 선어말어미 ‘-었-’과 조사의 결합 양상을 다루는 것을 통하여 내핵관계절과 명사절에서 쓰인 ‘-ㄴ 것’ 구성은 문법화의 과정에서 각각 어떤 형태구조적인 변화를 겪었는지를 확인한다. 제4장은 3장에서 논의한 형식적인 특징을 바탕으로 ‘-ㄴ 것’ 구성의 의미를 분석함으로써 문법화가 어떤 원리로 진행되는지 어떤 과정을 갖고 있는지를 검토한다. 내핵관계절에서 쓰인 ‘-ㄴ 것’ 구성과 명사절에서 쓰인 ‘-ㄴ 것’ 구성은 각각 문법화 과정에서 관찰되는 특징을 제시하고 ‘-ㄴ 것’ 구성의 형식적인 문법화와 의미적인 문법화의 상관관계도 논의한다. 제 5장에서 앞에 다루는 논의를 정리하여 결론을 내리며 연구의 한계점을 밝힌다.
