Abstract

본 논문은 석사과정 졸업 연주회 프로그램인 루트비히 판 베토벤 (Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827)의 〈Violin Sonata No.5 in F Major Op.24〉, 외젠 오귀스테 이자이 (Eugène-Auguste Ysaÿe, 1858-1931)의 〈Violin Sonata No.3 in d minor Op.27〉, 모리스 조셉 라벨 (Maurice Joseph Ravel, 1875-1937)의 〈Violin Sonata No.2 in G Major M.77〉에 관한 연구 분석논문이다. 루트비히 판 베토벤(L. v. Beethoven, 1770-1827)은 고전주의(1750-1810) 후기와 초기 낭만주의(1810-1900) 음악의 선구자로 고전파를 대표하는 작곡가이다. 그의 작품은 크게 초기, 중기, 후기로 나누어진다. 그는 총 10개의 바이올린 소나타를 작곡하였는데 그 중〈Violin Sonata No.5 in F Major Op.24〉‘봄’은 1801년 작품으로 초기에 쓰여 졌지만 중기의 특징도 함께 나타난다. ‘봄’은 고전적인 형식의 틀 안에서 다른 소나타보다 자유로우며 확장된 구성이 특징적이다. 세 개 악장의 일반적인 소나타 작법에서 네 개 악장의 구조로 발전되었고 3악장 미뉴에트(Minuet)는 스케르초(Scherzo)로 바꾸는 등 베토벤의 다양한 시도를 보여주는 작품이다. 이자이(Eugène-Auguste Ysaÿe, 1858-1931)는 낭만주의 음악의 마지막인 19세기말에서 20세기 초에 활동한 벨기에 출신의 바이올리니스트이자 작곡가이다. 이자이는 스승인 비에니아프스키(Henryk Wieniawski)와 비외탕(Henri Vieuxtemps)에게 많은 가르침과 영향을 받아 당대 최고의 바이올린 연주자로 자리매김 하였다. 독주 연주자 외에도 실내악 연주자 및 신시내티 지휘자로 활동한 이자이는 바이올린 협주곡, 소나타 및 오페라 작곡에도 힘썼다. 그 중〈Six Sonatas for Violin solo Op.27〉은 바흐의〈무반주 바이올린 소나타와 파르티타〉에서 영감을 받아 작곡한 작품으로 각각 6명의 당대 바이올린 연주자들에게 헌정되었다. 라벨(Maurice Joseph Ravel, 1875-1937)은 프랑스의 대표적인 작곡가로 고전적 형식에 인상주의(Impressionism)와 신고전주의(Neo-Classicism)음악을 녹여낸 작곡가이다. 19세기 후반에서 20세기 초반까지 미술가들 사이에서 먼저 성행한 인상주의는 낭만주의의 정열적이고 확실한 감정보다 모호하고 나른한 감정과 색체적인 표현에 초점을 맞춘다. 시대적 상황에 영향을 받은 라벨은 적극적으로 작품에 인상주의적 요소를 가미한다.〈Violin Sonata No.2 in G Major M.77〉은 라벨이 1923년부터 1927년까지 5년이라는 시간동안 공들인 작품으로 바이올린과 피아노가 각각 동등한 위치에서 노래하며 선율이 진행된다. 고전적인 형식 안에서 재즈(Jazz)와 블루스(Blues)를 활용한 독특한 선율과 즉흥적인 리듬이 특징적이다. 필자가 연주한 세 작품은 바이올린 연주자들에게 많이 연주되는 중요한 곡들로 작곡가의 생애와 시대적 배경 및 악곡 분석을 통하여 보다 깊이 있는 연주에 도움이 되고자 본 논문을 쓰게 되었다.;The purpose of this study is to analyze the researcher’s master's degree graduation concert program: Ludwig van Beethoven(1770-1827)’s〈Violin Sonata No.5 in F Major Op.24〉, Eugène-Auguste Ysaÿe(1858-1931)’s 〈Violin Sonata No.3 in d minor Op.27〉, Maurice Joseph Ravel(1875-1937)’s 〈Violin Sonata No.2 in G Major M.77〉 Ludwig van Beethoven's works can be classified into early, middle, and late periods. 〈Violin Sonata No. 5 in F Major Op.24〉belongs to the early and mid-term period of his work.‘Spring’ is characterized by a more liberal and expanded form than other classical form sonatas. It developed a three-movement sonata form to a four-movement structure and the third movement Minuet was replaced by Scherzo. This work shows Beethoven's various attempts. Eugène-Auguste Ysaye was a Belgian violinist and composer who was active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the end of Romantic music. Ysaye learned from his teachers Henryk Wieniawski, Henri Vieuxtemps, and established himself as one of the best violinists of that time. In addition to his performance activities, he composed various works. <Six Sonatas for Violin solo Op.27> is a composition inspired by Bach's <Sonatas and Partitas for Violin Solo>, each dedicated to six contemporary violinists. Maurice Joseph Ravel was a French composer who pursued Impressionism and Neo-Classicism music. Impressionism and Neo-Classicism focuses on ambiguous emotion and color expression. <Violin Sonata No.2 in G Major M.77> is a work composed by Ravel from 1923 to 1927, and the melody progresses with the violin and piano singing in equal positions. It is characterized by a unique melody and improvised rhythm that combines classical forms with jazz and blues. The three works performed by the researcher are important pieces that are often played by violinists. This study was written to help in-depth performance through analysis of the composer's life, historical background, and music.
