Abstract

본 논문은 본 연구자의 석사과정 졸업연주회의 프로그램으로 프랑스 작곡가들의 작품인 필립 고베르 (Philippe Gaubert, 1879-1941)의 Madrigal for Flute and Piano, 피에르 상캉 (Pierre Sancan, 1916-2008)의 Sonatine for Flute and Piano, 마랭 마레 (Marin Marais, 1656-1728)의 Les Folies d'Espagne for Solo Flute, 찰스 마리 비도르 (Charles-Marie Widor, 1845-1937)의 Suite for Flute and Piano, Op.34에 대한 연구이다. 인상주의 작곡가 필립 고베르의 Madrigal Flute and Piano는 고베르의 스승인 폴 타파넬이 사망한 해인 1908년에 작곡 되었다. 위 작품은 낭만주의적 특징인 서정적인 멜로디를 내포하고 있는 교회선법과 인상주의적 특징인 몽환적이고 색채감이 있는 다양한 연출이 돋보이는 작품이다. 인상주의 작곡가 피에르 상캉의 Sonatine for Flute and Piano는 1946년에 작곡된 곡이며 인상주의 특징의 하나인 색채적 표현을 익살스러운 리듬적 표현인 불레스크(burlesque)풍과 작곡가가 관심이 많았던 재즈 음악의 요소를 사용하여 표현한 것이 큰 특징이다. 바로크시대 작곡가 마랭마레의 Les Folies d'Espagne for Solo Flute은 1701년에 작곡된 곡으로 비올라 다 감바(viola da gamba) 뿐만 아니라 플루트를 비롯한 여러 악기들로도 많이 연주가 되고 있으며 바로크 특징인 구조적인 단순함을 엄격하게 유지하며 음악적 표현을 위한 기능으로 꾸밈음과 트릴 등을 다양하게 사용함으로서 선율을 화려하게 장식하는 특징을 보여준다. 후기낭만시대 작곡가 비도르의 Suite for Flute and Piano, Op.34는 그 당시 유명한 플루트 연주자인 폴 타파넬의 위촉으로 그에게 헌정된 곡이다. 자유로운 형식의 근대 모음집 구성으로 고전주의적인 형식과 낭만주의적 색채를 결합한 선율적이고 화려한 작품이다.;The research is based on the present researcher's Master graduation concert program, and it discusses the French composer's work including Madrigal for flute and piano by Philippe Gaubert (1879-1941), Sonatine for flute and piano by Pierre Sancan (1916-2008), Les Folies d'Espagne for Solo Flute, Marin Marais (1656-1728) and Suite for flute and piano, op.34 by Charles-Marie Widor (1845-1937). Madrigal flute and piano by Impressionist composer, Philip Gaubert, was composed in 1908 when P.Gaubert's mentor, Paul Taffanel, passed away. This composition stands out for its lyrical melody reflecting the characteristic of Romanticism, and the dreamlike and colorful sound characterizing Impressionism. Sonatine for flute and piano by Impressionist composer Pierre Sancan was composed in 1946 and features a burlesque style and elements of jazz music that the composer particularly relished. Les Folies d'Espagne for Solo flute, composed in 1701 by the Baroque composer Marin Marais, It is played not only with viola da Gamba but also with various instruments including flute. It strictly maintains the structural simplicity characterized by Baroque music, and it shows the characteristics of ornamernt the melody colorfully by using various decorations and trill as a function for musical expression. The late Romantic era composer C.M Widor's Suite for flute and piano, op.34 was dedicated to Paul Taffanel as it was composed upon his request. This piece is a free-form modern collection composition that combines classical music structure with romantic colors making it lyrical and expressive.
