Abstract

본 논문은 연구자의 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주 프로그램인 Johann Sebastian Bach의 <Sonata in E-flat Major BWV. 1031>, Charles-Marie Widor의 <Suite for Flute and Piano Op. 34>, Gabriel Grovlez의 <Romance et Scherzo> 그리고 Paul Hindemith의 <Sonata for Flute and Piano>에 관한 연구이다. 요한 세바스티안 바흐는 독일 출생의 바로크를 대표하는 작곡가이다. <Sonata in E-flat Major BWV. 1031>는 총 3악장으로 구성되어 있으며 정확한 작곡연도는 알 수 없으나 바흐가 기악곡의 창작이 가장 활발했던 쾨텐시기에 작곡된 작품이다. 이 작품을 통해 바흐의 푸가와 대위법의 특징을 알 수 있고 조성이 확립되어가는 바로크시대의 음악적 특징을 알아볼 수 있다. 샤를 마리 비도르는 프랑스의 작곡가이자 오르가니스트이다. <Suite for Flute and Piano Op. 34>는 총 4악장으로 구성되어 있고 비도르가 존경했던 바흐의 대위법에 많은 영향을 받아 작곡된 작품이며 서정적이고 화려하며 세련된 선율의 특징을 가진 프랑스 낭만주의 음악을 토대로 작곡되었다. 가브리엘 그로블레즈는 프랑스의 작곡가이다. <Romance et Scherzo>는 악장이 따로 나뉘어 있지는 않지만 느리고 아름다운 선율을 가진 Romance와 빠르고 익살스러움을 나타내는 Scherzo의 상반된 특징을 나타내는 두 부분으로 구성되어 있다. 이 작품은 특히 고전주의의 대표적인 형식인 3부분 형식에 변화된 화성을 사용하여 신고전주의 음악의 특징을 잘 보여주는 작품이다. 파울 힌데미트는 독일의 대표적인 신고전주의 작곡가이다. <Sonata for Flute and Piano>는 총 3악장으로 구성되어 있으며 3악장의 마지막 부분에 행진곡인 ‘Marsch’가 붙은 특이한 형태로 작곡되었다. 이 작품을 통하여 힌데미트는 바흐의 대위법에 20세기 음악의 변화된 화성어법을 접목하여 그만의 독특한 작곡기법을 보여준다.;This thesis is a study of the researcher's Master's degree Graduation Concert program, which includes <Sonata in E-flat Major BWV. 1031> by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), <Suite for Flute and Piano Op. 34> by Charles-Marie Widor (1844-1937), <Romance et Scherzo> by Gabriel Grovlez (1879-1944) and <Sonata for Flute and Piano> by Paul Hindemith (1895-1963). Johann Sebastian Bach is a German composer who represents Baroque period. <Sonata in E-flat Major BWV. 1031> consists of three movements and although its exact written year is unknown, it was written when he was active in composing numbers of instrumental piece in Köthen period. J. S. Bach's Fuga, Counterpoint and the musical characteristics of the Baroque period when tonalities were being established, can be found through this piece. Charles-Marie Widor is a composer and an organist from France. <Suite for Flute and Piano Op. 34> consists of four movements and it was influenced by J. S. Bach's counterpoint, who Widor admired. Moreover it was composed based on French Romanticism with lyrical, colorful and sophisticated melodies. Gabriel Grovlez is a French composer. Although <Romance et Scherzo> does not have separate movements, it consists two parts that show the opposite characteristics of Romance with slow and beautiful melody and fast and humorous Scherzo. In particular, this piece well shows the characteristics of Neoclassical music utilizing changed harmony under ternary form, which is a representative form of Classical music. Paul Hindemith is a representative Neoclassical composer in Germany. <Sonata for Flute and Piano> consists of three movements and is composed in a unique form with 'Marsch' attached to the end of the third movement. Through this piece, Hindemith shows his unique composition technique by combining J. S. Bach's Counterpoint with the changed harmony language of 20th century music.
