허수경 시의 '기억 이미지' 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 허수경 시의 ‘기억 이미지’를 탐구함으로써 허수경의 시가 세계와 조우하는 양상을 밝히는 데에 있다. 허수경은 독일로의 이주 이후 그의 생에 마지막까지 이방인으로서의 삶을 이어나갔다. 모국어로 행해지는 그의 시작(詩作)은 필연적으로 모국에 대한 기억을 동반한다. 그러나 기억은 그리움에서 비롯한 것일지라도 과거로의 회귀를 열망하지 않는다. 그는 기억을 통해 과거로부터 비롯한 현재를 인식하려 한다. 나아가 기억에서 비롯한 현재를 통해 보다 나은 미래로의 도약을 꿈꾼다. 이를 바탕으로, 본 연구는 허수경 시에 나타나는 기억에 초점을 맞춰 그 내용과 사유를 탐구하고자 했으며 그 방법론으로 베르그손의 이미지론을 경유하였다. 존재하는 모든 것을 각자의 파동과 리듬으로 운동하는 이미지라 보았고 나아가 이를 신체, 물질, 우주의 세 갈래로 나누어 그 지속의 양상을 살펴보았다. 또한 본고가 주목한 ‘기억 이미지’는 베르그손의 이미지-기억에 결부되어 있는 개념으로, 잠재적인 순수기억으로 무한히 존재하는 과거가 현재의 필요에 의해 표상으로 도래한 것을 의미한다. 과거는 지나가 사라지는 것이 아니라 현재적 필요에 의해 소환되며 나아가 인식된 현재를 바탕으로 미래를 도모한다. 기억의 작용은 과거, 현재, 미래가 현재를 기점으로 양방향의 흐름을 내재하고 있음을 보여주는 것이다. Ⅱ장에서는 몸 이미지를 신체 이미지에 상응하는 것으로 보고 의식의 지속을 통해 비결정성의 특징을 드러냄을 확인한다. 순수지각의 압축작용을 통해 형성된 ‘정든 병’의 몸 이미지를 확인하고 결핍에 대응하려는 몸 이미지를 탐구한다. 또한 ‘슬픔’의 정념을 통해 생성되는 몸 이미지와 이를 바탕으로 도출되는 기록의 행위를 살펴본다. 몸 이미지는 외부의 자극에 대해 수동적이고 소극적인 것으로 남아 있는 몸이 아니라, 능동적이고 적극적으로 자신의 욕망을 표출하며 비결정성의 몫을 안는다. Ⅲ장에서는 고향 이미지를 물질 이미지의 하나로 보고 공간의 지속을 바탕으로 형성되는 연장성의 특징을 확인한다. 순수공간의 임의도식을 통해 분절된 ‘불귀’의 고향을 탐구하고 이로 인해 외부 세계로의 도약이 가능함을 탐구한다. 나아가 고향 밖 세계에서 느끼는 ‘고아’의 감각으로 인해 역설적으로 모어의 고향이라는 구체적 연장을 확인할 수 있다. 고향 이미지는 임의적으로 상정된 도식이 아니라 실재적으로 경험되고 체험되는 구체적 연장을 점한다. Ⅳ장에서는 역사 이미지를 우주 이미지에 맞닿아 있는 것으로 보고 시간의 지속, 그 영속성에 참여함을 확인한다. 순수기억의 이중운동을 통해 과거에서부터 현재까지 이어지는 ‘청동’의 비극적 역사 이미지를 살피고 시간과 공간의 분절을 넘어 모두가 폭력으로 매개되어 있음을 살핀다. 이로써 형성된 ‘기억의 공동체’가 과거를 적극적으로 발굴함으로써 또 다른 미래를 기약함을 확인한다. 역사 이미지는 무수한 인간 개개의 기억이 매개될 때 완성되며 시간과 공간의 구분을 뛰어넘음으로써 우주적 지속의 영속성에 참여한다. 이와 같은 연구를 통해 허수경 시에서 기억의 중요성을 살펴볼 수 있으며 나아가 기억의 세부적인 양상까지 확인할 수 있다. 허수경 시의 몸 이미지는 의식의 층위에서 신체 내・외부의 작용을 통과하여 비결정성을 드러내고, 고향 이미지는 공간의 층위에서 질적 변화를 내재한 연장성의 물질로 설명된다. 나아가 역사 이미지는 시간의 층위에서 총체적이고 무한한 영속성의 우주를 보여준다. 각각의 이미지에 따르는 지속 안에서 기억 이미지는 보다 긍정적인 미래로 도약하려는 시의 의미 양상을 드러낸다.;The purpose of this study is to reveal the aspect of Heo Soo-kyung's poems encountering the world by exploring the ‘memory image' revealed in Heo Soo-kyung's poems. Heo Soo-kyung continued his life as a stranger until the end of his life after moving to Germany. His writing of poems in his mother tongue inevitably accompanies memories of his motherland. However, memory does not aspire to return to the past, even if it comes from longing. He tries to recognize the present, including the past, through memory. Furthermore, I dream of a leap into a better future through the present, including memory. Based on this, this study attempted to explore the contents and thoughts of the memories that appear in Heo Soo-kyung's poem, and passed through Bergson's Imagination Theory as a methodology. Everything that exists is an image that exercises with its own waves and rhythms, and furthermore, it was divided into three branches: body, material, and universe to examine the aspect of its continuation. In addition, the ‘memory image' noted by this paper is a concept associated with Bergson's image-memory, which means that the past that exists indefinitely as a potential pure memory has arrived as a representation due to current needs. The past does not disappear, but is summoned by present needs and further promotes the future based on the recognized present. The action of memory shows that the past, present, and future have two-way flows starting from the present. Chapter II confirms that the body image is considered to correspond to the body image and reveals the characteristics of amorphousness through the continuation of consciousness. Identify the body image of the ‘polite disease’ formed through the compressive action of pure perception and explore the body image to respond to deficiency. It also examines the body image generated through the passion of ‘sadness' and the behavior of records derived based on it. Body image is not a body that remains passive and passive against external stimuli, but actively expresses one's desires and takes a share of uncrystallinity. Chapter III sees the hometown image as one of the material images and identifies the characteristics of extension formed based on the continuation of space. Through the random schematic of pure space, we explore the hometown of the segmented 'inferior' and explore the possibility of a leap into the outside world. Furthermore, paradoxically, the specific extension of More's hometown can be confirmed due to the sense of ‘an orphan’ felt in the world outside of his hometown. The image of the hometown is not an arbitrarily assumed schematic, but a specific extension that is actually experienced and experienced. Chapter IV confirms that the historical image is viewed as touching the cosmic image and participates in the continuation of time and its permanence. Through the double movement of pure memory, we examine the tragic historical image of ‘bronze’ from the past to the present, and examine that everyone is mediated by violence beyond the segment of time and space. It is confirmed that the ‘community of memories' formed by this is promising another future by actively discovering the past. Historical images are completed when countless individual human memories are mediated and participate in the permanence of cosmic continuation by transcending the distinction between time and space. Through such research, the importance of memory can be examined in Heo Soo-kyung's poem, and furthermore, detailed aspects of memory can be confirmed. Heo Soo-kyung's body image reveals non-crystallinity through internal and external actions at the layer of consciousness, and the hometown image is explained as an extension material inherent in qualitative change at the layer of space. Furthermore, the historical image shows a universe of total and infinite permanence at the layer of time. Within the continuation of each image, the memory image reveals the meaning of poetry trying to leap into a more positive futures.
