학교 밖 청소년의 스마트폰 과의존과 현실·사이버 비행행동 경험의 관계

Abstract

본 연구는 학교 밖 청소년의 스마트폰 과의존이 현실 비행행동과 사이버 비행행동 경험에 미치는 영향에 대해 파악하고 부모관계와 지역사회 관계가 이를 조절할 수 있는지에 대해 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원에서 실시한 학업중단청소년패널조사 3차년도 조사를 분석에 활용하였으며, 최종 분석에서는 학업중단을 유지하고 있는 19세 미만 청소년 225명의 자료가 사용되었다. 학교 밖 청소년의 스마트폰 과의존과 현실 비행행동 또는 사이버 비행행동 경험간의 관계에서 부모 관계와 지역사회 관계의 조절효과를 분석하기 위해 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 활용하였으며, 구체적인 연구 방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 주요 변수의 관계 및 특징을 살펴보기 위해 기술통계분석, 상관분석을 실시하였다. 둘째, 학교 밖 청소년의 스마트폰 과의존이 현실 비행행동과 사이버 비행행동에 미치는 영향과 부모관계와 지역사회 관계가 이를 조절하는지에 대해 확인하기 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 아래와 같다. 첫째, 학교 밖 청소년의 스마트폰 과의존은 현실 비행행동 경험에 영향을 미치지 않았다. 따라서 부모관계와 지역사회 관계의 조절효과 역시 유의미하지 않았다. 둘째, 학교 밖 청소년의 스마트폰 과의존은 사이버 비행행동 경험에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 조절변수인 부모관계가 사이버 비행행동 경험에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 지역사회 관계는 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 학교 밖 청소년의 스마트폰 과의존이 높을수록 사이버 비행행동 경험을 증가시키며, 학교 밖 청소년의 부모 관계가 긍정적일수록 사이버 비행행동 경험을 감소시키는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. ;The purpose of this study was to identify the direct effects that smartphone addiction has on dropouts and their deviation in the real and cyber world. Furthermore, the study included whether or not parental relations and the local community tie could condition those behaviors. This study utilized the third survey results from the Korea Youth Policy Institute. and this study consisted of 225 participants that are under 19 years old and were out of school during the survey duration. In order to track and analyze the participants’ effects and behavior, I used the program SPSS 25.0. My research findings were as follows. First, there was no correlation between the effects of smartphone addiction on dropouts and negative or delinquent behavior in real life situations. However, there was a significant correlation between the effects of smartphone addiction on dropouts and negative or delinquent behavior in the Cyber World. This group of participants also showed that positive parental relations had an overall impact in reducing this negative behavior. Based on my research findings, the following discussion and implications are presented. Until now, most research findings had been about adolescents who are currently attending school, so there was a lack of information about those that are not attending school. Therefore, I would like to conclude that this study is important. According to previous studies, the effects of smartphone addiction on adolescents who are attending school resulted in a correlation with negative and delinquent behavior in the real world. However, this study of out-of-school adolescents proved that there are different results and that smartphone addiction effects can have differing behaviors in adolescents depending on if they are in or out of school. Finally, since adolescents who are out of school are no longer able to receive institutional benefits, such as socializing and forming new peer and teacher relationships, the importance of positive parental relations is ever so crucial. There is a need to support these out of school adolescents by providing a way to create and maintain positive parental relations.
