힌데미트 바이올린 소나타에 관한 연구

Abstract

20세기는 음악 역사를 통틀어 가장 많은 변화가 이루어진 시기 중 하나라고 할 수 있다. 하나의 양식이 한 시대를 지배했던 과거와는 다르게, 20세기 음악의 양식들은 여러 갈래로 해체된다. 20세기는 인상주의, 민족주의, 신고전주의, 우연성음악, 구체음악, 미니멀음악 같은 새로운 음악들이 시도되던 시대인 동시에, 전통 장르가 부활하고 기존의 음악들이 인용되던 시대였다. 이러한 음악적 양식이 대립하고 변화하는 20세기에서 힌데미트는 다양한 시도와 연구를 통해 자신만의 양식을 확립시킨 독일의 대표적 작곡가이다. 힌데미트의 음악은 신고전주의에 바탕을 두고 있으며, 그의 음악적 변화는 전 생애에 걸쳐 이루어져왔다. 그러나 힌데미트의 작품에 대한 연구는 상대적으로 제한적이며, 다른 20세기 작곡가들에 비해 자료가 다소 부족한 것이 사실이다. 연구자는 힌데미트의 삶 전반에 대한 배경을 토대로 그의 바이올린 소나타 1번을 심도 있게 분석하여, 앞으로 힌데미트의 작품을 다루게 될 연주자들에게 도움이 되고자 한다. 본 논문은 힌데미트의 초기작품에 드러나는 그의 작곡 성향과 음악적 특징을 바이올린 소나타를 통해서 다루고 있다. 복잡한 형식과 음악을 통한 감정표현을 꺼려했던 힌데미트의 특징적인 음악스타일을 분석하기 위해서, 필자는 그의 초기 음악적 성향이 두드러지는 작품인 Violin Sonata Op.11 No.1을 선택하였다. 바이올린 소나타 1번은 간단한 화성과 명료한 리듬에 기초하고 있다. 이는 힌데미트가 추구했던 명료한 음악성을 여실히 보여준다. 본 연구가 힌데미트의 작품을 연주하게 될 연주자들에게 도움이 되길 바란다.;In music history, the 20th century was the most dynamic period of all times. Unlike the past, when one style dominated the period, the styles of music in the 20th century were dismantled into several branches. The 20th century was an era in which new music such as impressionism, nationalism, neoclassicism, coincidence music, concrete music, and minimal music were attempted, while traditional genres were revived and existing music were cited. Among them, when these musical styles conflict and change, Hindemith was a representative German composer who established his own style through various attempts and research. Hindemith's music is based on neoclassicalism, and his musical changes have been made throughout his life. However, it is true that the research on Hindemith's work is relatively limited, and the data are somewhat insufficient compared to other 20th-century composers. Based on the background of Hindemith's entire life, the researchers aimed to help the performers who will deal with Hindemith's work in-depth analysis of his violin sonata No. 1 in the future. This paper deals with his compositional tendencies and musical characteristics revealed in Hindemith's early works through violin sonata. In order to analyze Hindemith's characteristic music style, which was reluctant to express emotions through complex forms and music, I chose violin sonata op.11 no.1, a work with a prominent initial musical tendency. Violin Sonata No. 1 is based on simple harmony and clear rhythm, which clearly shows the clear musicality that Hindemith pursued. I hope this study will help the performers who will play Hindemith's work.
