Ludwig van Beethoven Cello Sonata No.3 in A Major, Op. 69 에 대한 연구

Abstract

18세기부터 19세기에 걸쳐 왕성히 활동한 베토벤(Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827)은 고전주의의 양식을 계승하며 낭만주의 색깔을 띤 작곡가이다.

그는 초기부터 후기까지 총 5개의 첼로 소나타를 작곡하였으며, 이 5곡은 각각 시기에 맞춰 양식상의 변화와 발전을 나타내고 있다. 5개의 소나타 중에《L. v. Beethoven cello Sonata No.3 in A Major, Op. 69》는 새로운 차원의 표현과 대중성을 획득하는 시기인 중기(1803-1814년경)의 작품으로 자신만의 독창적인 스타일을 구축했다. 고전주의의 영향을 받아 첼로의 역할이 크지 않았던 초기 작품과는 달리 3번에서는 첼로를 피아노와 대등한 위치의 멜로디를 진행시킴으로써 단지 저음악기였던 첼로를 결정적으로 독주 악기의 반열에 올려놓게 했다. 또한 베토벤의 대표적인 곡인 《L. v. Beethoven Symphony No.5 in C Minor, Op.67 운명》과 《L. v. Beethoven Symphony No.6 in F Major, Op.68 전원》 다음 작품으로 불운한 삶 속에서도 긍정적인 생각과 의지를 갖고 있었고 가장 왕성히 활동했던 시기인 만큼 형식적으로나 표현적으로 베토벤의 다양한 시도가 엿보이는 작품이다.

본 논문은 베토벤의 생애와 시대적 배경을 알아보고 그의 작품 중 《L. v. Beethoven cello Sonata No.3 in A Major, Op. 69》의 분석을 통하여 그 시기 베토벤 음악의 전반적인 특징과 구조, 음악의 전개 방식을 더 깊이 이해하고자 한다.;Ludwig van Beethoven who is a composer with representing romantic tone inheriting classical era acted vigorously from the end of the 18th century to the 19th.

He composed five cello sonatas from early to late century, and each of these five music shows change and development of patterns according to the time. 《L. v. Beethoven cello sonata No.3 in A major, Op. 69》 among those five sonatas is a work of the middle ages (circa 1803-1814), that acquiring a new level of expression and popularity. L. v. Beethoven established his own inventive style. Unlike the early works that the role of the cello was not big enough influenced by W. A. Mozart and F. J. Haydn, in No. 3, the cello, which was just a bass instrument, was decisively placed on the rank of solo instruments by placing on the same level as the piano melody. Also, the sonata shows L. v. Beethoven’s various attempts both formally and expressively as was his the most active period. Along with his representative music, 《L. v. Beethoven Symphony No.5 in C minor, Op. 67 'Fate'》 and 《L. v. Beethoven Symphony No.6 in F major, Op. 68 'Pastorale'》 he had positive thoughts and willingness even in unfortunate life time.

This study examines the background of L. v. Beethoven’s life and period, and covers the overall characteristics, structure and develop method of L. v. Beethoven’s music to be understood in more details through the analysis of <L. v. Beethoven cello Sonata No.3 in A major, Op. 69>.
