Everything Is Fine

Abstract

This textbook is designed for adult EFL/ESL students who interested in learning language through the use of audio-visual material (television, movies, video clips). Through the American sitcom, “The Good Place,” learners are guided through interactive listening and speaking activities aimed to strengthen, diversify, and enhance language comprehension. Drawing from both Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) and Task Based Language Teaching (TBLT) methods, they allow learners to discover new ideas, share opinions, and draw from personal experience. As active participants of the language learning process, learners are assisted in building confidence as speakers of English and finding the agency to do so.
