외국어고등학교 학생들이 만든 코로나19 예방을 위한 과학인포그래픽 특징 탐색

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of science infographics for the prevention of corona 19 made by foreign language high school students during the time of the popularity of corona 19. The analysis results of the characteristics of science infographic created by students in terms of the context of information delivery, the contents of science used intensively, the intention of expression and scientific communication strategy are as follows. First, the students were influenced by various elements of an individual's life and decided on the readers and situations of the infographic. This specific context of information communication served as an opportunity for students to think about the Corona 19 incident from the perspective of various members of society and influenced them to decide which scientific content should be placed where. Second, students created an infographic that included the characteristics associated with the life history of the virus and the scientific effect of the Code of Conduct for Prevention of Corona19 Infection. Students selected scientific content that should be delivered importantly to the reader regarding their behavioral rules, and the title, prior knowledge, and curiosity about the new scientific content motivated students to persistently learn and present themselves as infographic. Third, the strategy of students expressing information through infographic was related to the intended expression of the reader. The visual and linguistic elements used in the students' infographic were used to attract the reader's attention, build trust in the information they convey, and to increase access to scientific information. This showed that students produced infographic comprehensively considering the context of information delivery, information reliability, and readers' level of scientific knowledge to effectively communicate scientific content to members of society through infographic, and interpreted scientific knowledge related to corona 19 in colorful life contexts. The results of the study could be used as a basic material for scientists who want to use infographic as a scientific communication tool or for researchers studying such cases to understand and express science in real-life contexts. ;본 연구의 목적은 코로나19가 유행하는 시기에 외국어고등학생들이 만든 코로나19 예방을 위한 과학인포그래픽의 특징을 알아보는 것이다. 학생들이 만든 과학인포그래픽의 특징을 정보전달 맥락, 중점적으로 사용한 과학내용, 표현 의도와 과소통전략의 측면에서 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생들은 개인의 삶의 다양한 요소에서 영향을 받아 인포그래픽의 독자와 상황을 정했다. 이와 같은 구체적인 정보전달 맥락은 학생들이 여러 사회구성원의 입장에서 코로나19 사태를 생각하는 계기가 되었고, 어떤 과학내용을 어디에 배 치하면 좋을지 결정하는 데 영향을 끼쳤다. 둘째, 학생들은 바이러스의 생활사(生活史)와 관련된 특성과 코로나19 감염예방을 위한 행동수칙의 과학적 효과를 포함한 인포그래픽을 만들었다. 학생들은 독자에게 자신들이 다룰 행동수칙과 관련하여 중요하게 전달되어야 할 과학내용을 선별하여 인포그래픽으로 구성했으며, 제목, 사전지식, 새롭게 알게 된 과학 내용에 대한 호기심 등이 학생들이 코로나19와 관련된 과학내용을 끈기 있게 학습하여 인포그래픽으로 나타내는 동기가 되었다. 셋째, 학생들이 인포그래픽을 통해 정보를 표현한 전략은 독자를 유념한 표현 의도와 관련되어 있었다. 학생들의 인포그래픽에 사용된 시각적, 언어적 요소들은 독자의 시선을 끌고, 전달하는 정보에 대한 신뢰를 형성하며, 과학정보에 대한 접 근성을 높이기 위한 의도로 사용되었다. 이를 통해 학생들이 과학내용을 인포그래픽을 통해 사회구성원들에게 효과적으로 전달하기 위해 정보전달 맥락, 정보의 신뢰도, 독자의 과학지식 수준을 종합적으로 고려하면서 인포그래픽을 제작하며, 다 채로운 삶의 맥락 속에서 코로나19와 관련된 과학지식을 해석하였음을 알 수 있었다. 연구 결과는 과학 의사소통 도구로써 인포그래픽을 활용하고자 하는 과학교사나 그러한 사례를 연구하는 연구자들에게 학생들이 과학을 실생활 맥락에서 이해하고 표현하는 양상을 이해하는 기초자료로 쓰일 수 있을 것이다.
