유성기음반을 통한 가사 죽지사 연구

Abstract

19세기 등장한 가사 죽지사는 기록된 고악보가 없음에도 불구하고 현전하는 12가사 중 하나로 연행되며 연구도 활발하게 이루어진다. 그러나 발견된 고악보가 없는 관계로 초기 형태나 변천사에 관한 연구가 없는 것을 확인했다. 따라서 현전 가사의 시초인 하규일과 동시대에 활동하며 유성기음반에 죽지사를 취입한 이영산홍, 조모란·김연옥, 박부용·홍소월의 세 유성기음반을 통해 악보를 비교함으로써, 죽지사의 현행 이전의 연행양상을 살펴보았다. 가곡 초기 전수자인 하규일의 악보와 더불어 유성기음반에 죽지사를 취입한 이영산홍, 조모란·김연옥, 박부용·홍소월의 음원을 각기 악보화 하여 가사 붙임새와 숨자리, 선율형 비교를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 1절의 가사 붙임새는 전반적으로 유사했으나 후렴의 가사 붙임새는 모음의 분화 지점, 받침 등장 지점 등이 상이하다 할 수 있겠다. 네 창자 모두 동일한 가사 붙임새를 보인 곳은 총 3회로 1절의 제 2마디와 제 6마디, 후렴의 제 16마디가 해당된다. 둘째, 숨자리는 네 창자 동일 지점이 1절에서 7회, 후렴에서 5회로 1절과 후렴을 통틀어 총 12회였고, 상이 숨자리는 1절에서 1회, 후렴에서 15회 총 15회였다. 그 이유로 1절은 고정된 가사로 불리나 후렴은 가사가 입타령으로 구성되었기 때문에 창자의 재량에 따라 자유롭게 가창한 것으로 파악된다. 셋째, 선율 분석을 한 결과 골격음은 동일하게 유지하며 네 창자가 노래를 진행하는데, 창자 모두가 동일한 선율을 가진 것은 제 9마디 제 3박과 제 4박, 제 16마디로 제 9마디의 두 박과 제 16마디였다. 그 외에 창자별로 하규일과 이영산홍이 동일한 선율형을 보이거나, 이영산홍, 조모란·김연옥, 박부용·홍소월이 동일한 선율형을 보이는 부분이 있었으므로 네 음원에 공통적으로 적용된 동일 선율형을 찾기 어려울 뿐, 각기 선율형이 유사한 면을 가졌음을 확인할 수 있었다. 골격음의 구성을 보면 큰 흐름은 하규일, 이영산홍, 조모란·김연옥, 박부용·홍소월 네 음원이 같은 방향으로 진행하는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 동일 악곡임에도 가사 붙임새, 숨자리, 꾸밈음과 리듬 등의 선율표현이 각기 상이한 이유는 창자의 기량에 따라 자유로운 표현이 가능했기 때문으로 보인다.;Though Gasa <Jukjisa> appears in the 19th century, was taken to one of the current 12 Gasa, despite the absence of any ancient sheet music, and research was actively conducted. However, it was confirmed that there was no study of early forms or changing history because no ancient music sheet was discovered. Therefore, this thesis compared the score with the SP record(Standard play record) of Lee Yeongsanhong, Cho Mo-ran · Kim Yeon-ok and Park Bu-yong · Hong So-wol, who were active in the same era as Ha Kyu-il, an instructor of contemporary Gasa, who is currently in the same era. The following is the conclusion obtained by comparing Buchimsae(setting lyrics with melodies), breath point, and melody line from the music sheet which come from SP records of Lee Yeongsanhong, Cho Mo-ran · Kim Yeon-ok and Park Bu-yong · Hong So-wol with the Ha Kyu-il’s sheet music. First, the Buchimsae of the first verse were generally similar, but the Buchimsae of the chorus were different from the point of differentiation of vowels and the point of appearance of supports. A total of three places where all four singers showed the same Buchimsae is the 2nd bar of the first verse, the 6th bar, and the 16th bar of the chorus. Second, the four singers’ same breath point was 12 times in the first verse and chorus, seven times in the first verse and five times in the chorus, Different breath point was 15 times in the first verse and 15 times in the chorus. For this reason, it is understood that the first verse consisted of fixed lyric and the chorus is called Yip Taryeong(lip taryeong, similar to scat singing, words with no meaning) which were freely sung at the discretion of the intestines. Third, as a result of the melody analysis, the four singers performed the song remained the essential note. 3rd time, 4th time of 9th bar, and 16th bar that all singers had the same melody. In addition, Ha Kyu-il and Lee Yeongsanhong showed the same melody type, or Lee Yeongsanhong, Cho Mo-ran, Kim Yeon-ok, Park Bu-yong, and Hong So-wol showed the same melody type, so it was difficult to find the same melody applied to the four songs. Through the composition of the essential note, this thesis found that the big flow is going in the same direction as Ha Kyu-il, Lee Yeongsanhong, Cho Mo-ran · Kim Yeon-ok, Park Bu-yong and Hong So-wol. The reason why the melody expression of Buchimsae, breath point, decoration, and rhythm are different even though it is the same piece of music, seems to be because it was possible to express freely depending on the singer's skills.
