Abstract

1.Purpose and rationale: The purpose of this book is to provide support for moms who want to motivate their children to read for fun in English. This book seeks to encourage extensive reading, while also providing intensive reading activities, to give moms tips to help their kids comprehend the texts and build their vocabulary/linguistic knowledge. It is the intention of this book to help moms become more confident in making story time more meaningful, interactive and communicative, while also guiding their kids through the various stages of reading. 2.Target learners: 3-6 year olds: EFL Korean kindergarten students reading at home 3.Proficiency: Between Level 1 (Entering) & Level 2 (Emerging) according to WIDA
