발달장애 아동을 위한 국내 음악치료 사정(assessment) 실태 조사

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 최근 3년 이내 발달장애 아동에 대한 음악치료 세션 경험이 있는 국내 전문 음악치료사를 대상으로 음악치료 사정(assessment) 실태를 조사하는 것이다. 이를 위해 (사)전국음악치료사협회와 (사)한국음악치료학회의 대표 메일을 통하여 설문지의 URL을 배포하여 설문을 실시하였고, 총 118부의 온라인 설문지 중 불충분한 응답을 제외한 96부의 설문지를 분석하였다. 설문문항은 연구 참여자의 일반적 특성 7문항, 발달장애 아동 대상 음악치료 사정에 대한 인식 7문항, 발달장애 아동을 위한 음악치료 사정 현황 21문항으로 총 35문항으로 구성되었다. 연구 결과, 현재 음악치료사들은 음악치료 사정에 대한 인식 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 전체 조사 대상자 중 상당수(79.2%)의 음악치료사들이 발달장애 아동을 위한 음악치료 세션에서 음악치료사정을 시행하고 있었다. 가장 많이 사용하는 사정 방법으로는‘정성적 평가’와 ‘절충적 평가’로 나타났으며, 사정도구보다 관찰을 통한 사정방법을 더 많이 사용하였다. 따라서 현재 발달장애 아동을 위한 음악치료 사정세션에서는 평가하고자 하는 영역이나 방법에 제한을 두지 않고 보다 총체적인 차원에서 대상자에 대한 정보를 수집하고 평가하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 현재 발달장애 아동을 위한 음악치료 세션에서 가장 높은 비율을 차지하고 있는 하위 장애군은 자폐스펙트럼 장애와 지적장애로 나타났다. 이에, 발달장애 하위 장애군에 따른 음악치료 사정 필요성 차이를 알아보았는데, 모든 발달장애 하위 장애군에 대하여 음악치료 사정의 필요성이 높음을 알 수 있었다. 이와 더불어 음악치료 세션에서 사정을 시행하지 않는 이유, 내담자의 행동 평가를 위해 도구를 사용하지 않는 이유, 이미 체계화된(표준화된) 음악치료 사정 도구를 사용하지 않는 이유에 대한 이유를 알아보았는데, 모든 문항에 대하여 상당수의 음악치료사들이 ‘적합한 도구가 없기 때문에’로 응답하였다. 따라서 발달장애 아동을 위한 음악치료 사정 시 실제로 국내 임상현장에서 사용하기 용이하면서 적합한 도구 개발의 필요성이 요구된다.; The purpose of this study was to examine the current conditions of Korean music therapy assessment for children with developmental disabilities, by administering questionnaires to professional music therapists who have experienced music therapy sessions for such children for recent 3 years. The questionnaire survey was conducted by distributing the URL of a questionnaire through the representative e-mails of National Association of Korean Music Therapists and Korean Music Therapy Association, and then 96 copies except for insincere responses, among a total of 118 copies were used in the analysis. The survey questions consisted of a total of 35 questions: seven on the general characteristics of research participants; seven on the perception of music therapy assessment for children with developmental disabilities; and 21 for the status of music therapy assessment for children with developmental disabilities. As a result of the study, currently, music therapists had a high level of perception of music therapy assessment. Also, of the survey subjects, a considerable number of music therapists (79.2%) conducted music therapy assessments in music therapy sessions for children with developmental disabilities. Methods of assessment used the most were “qualitative assessment” and “comprehensive assessment”, and the method of assessment through observations was used more than assessment tools. Thus, it was found that, currently, in the music therapy assessment sessions for children with developmental disabilities, the information on the subjects were collected and assessed in the overall dimension without any limitation in the area to assess or method of assessment. Moreover, currently, the sub-groups of disabilities that took the largest proportion in the music therapy sessions for children with developmental disabilities were autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities. Thus, this study investigated the difference in the necessity of music therapy assessment according to the sub-groups of developmental disabilities, and it was found that there was a high necessity of music therapy assessment for all sub-groups of developmental disabilities. Also, this study investigated the reason why no assessments were conducted in music therapy sessions, the reason why no tools were used for the assessment of the client’s behavior, and the reason why no standardized music therapy assessment tools were used, and to all the questions, a considerable number of music therapists responded that there were no “suitable tools.” Thus, in the music therapy assessment for children with developmental disabilities, it is necessary to develop a tool that is easy and appropriate for use in the domestic clinical setting, actually.
