- Abstract
- The purpose of this textbook is to help Korean elementary school students to improve the four language skills
through English story books. A variety of communicative activities are used to increase motivation to read and learn English while at the same time having a lot of fun.
The target learners are young students aged 9-10. Their proficiency level is intermediate-low according to the ACTFL and the learning context is an afterschool English program.
By the end of the lesson, students will be expected to have developed an interest in reading story books in English and having fun learning with books. Students will also learn to speak with more confidence as they engage in various communicative activities based on the stories.
