Abstract

Purpose : to make a textbook to integrate reading in English and art, based on communicative language teaching Rationale : Communicative language teaching leads learners to be exposed to language and encourage them to use it with four skills . Furthermore, with this textbook, learners can acquire knowledge about the famous artists and their art works. Target learners : 9 to 12–year-old students who are learning English as a foreign language Proficiency : intermediate high according to WIDA Learning context : English classes, classes for guided reading in English, after-school programs
