콘체르토 형식의 분석

Abstract

본 논문은 콘체르토 형식에 대한 체계적인 분석을 위한 연구이다. 이를 위하여 후기 고전시대 작품을 중심으로 형성된 제임스 헤포코스키(James Hepokoski)와 워런 다시(Warren Darcy)의 저서 『소나타 이론의 요소』(Elements of Sonata Theory) 에서 나타난 소나타 콘체르토 이론을 새롭고 다양한 시각으로 재해석하였다. 본 논문은 세 부분으로 구성된다. “II. 헤포코스키와 다시의 소나타 이론”에서는 헤포코스키와 다시의 소나타 이론을 소개하며 그들의 저서 『소나타 이론의 요소』를 연구하였다. “III. 콘체르토 형식”에서는 콘체르토에 대한 국내외의 선행 연구를 연구하고, 기존의 콘체르토에 대한 논의를 헤포코스키와 다시의 소나타 이론의 입장에서 재고하였다. 그리고 “IV. 사례연구”에서 쇼스타코비치(Dmitri Shostakovich, 1906-1975)의 ≪피아노 콘체르토 2번 F장조 Op.102≫(Piano Concerto No.2 in F Major, Op.102, 1957) 1악장을 분석하였다. 본 논문을 통해 첫째, 『소나타 이론의 요소』에서 새롭게 제시되는 콘체르토 형식의 구성요소에 대한 엄밀한 이해를 얻을 수 있을 것이다. 둘째, 고전시대 작품이 아닌 콘체르토 작품에 대한 사례 연구를 통해 콘체르토 작품을 분석하는 데 유용한 방법을 체계적으로 제시 할 수 있을 것이다. 오늘날 국내에서 콘체르토 형식에 대한 이론 연구가 많이 이루어지지 않고 있는데, 본 연구를 계기로 콘체르토 형식에 관한 연구가 활발히 이루어져 음악 이론의 발전뿐만 아니라 연주와 감상 및 지도에도 도움이 되길 소망한다.;This study seeks to provide a systematic analysis of concerto form. For this purpose, the sonata-concerto theory presented by James Hepokoski and Warren Darcy in The Elements of Sonata Theory which focuses on late 18th-century works is reinterpreted in new and diverse ways. This thesis consists of three parts. "II. The Sonata Theory of Hepokoski and Darcy” introduces the Sonata Theory of Hepokoski and Darcy, and studies their book The Elements of Sonatas Theory. In the "III. Concerto Form” I explore the prior studies on concerto form and reconsider analyses of existing concerto works from the standpoint of Hepokoski’s and Darcy's Sonata Theory. Finally, in "IV. Case Study”, I analyze the first movement of Piano Concerto No.2 in F Major, Op.102 (1957) by Dmitri Shostakovich (1906-1975). Through this study, first, a strict understanding of the components of the concerto form newly presented in the Elements of Sonata Theory will be obtained. Second, through the case study of a unique concerto movement, the study will provide useful thoughts for a more systematic analysis of concerto form. There are not many music-theoretical studies of the concerto form in Korea today, and I hope this study could contribute to the development of theory of musical form, and help the performance, listening, and teaching of concertos.
