주제중심 통합교육을 적용한 국악수업이 고등학생의 국악 흥미도에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 주제중심 통합교육을 적용한 국악 수업이 고등학생의 국악 흥미도에 어떠한 영향을 끼치는지 알아보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 주제중심 통합교육 국악 수업을 받아본 적이 없는 고등학생 30명을 대상으로 수업을 실시하였다. 그리고 국악 흥미도 검사지를 제작하여 국악 수업을 하기 전과 후에 국악 흥미도를 검사하였다. 결과의 분석을 위하여는 주제중심 통합교육을 적용한 SPSS Ver. 22.0을 사용하여 대응 표본 t-검정을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 주제중심 통합교육을 적용한 국악 수업 이후 학생의 전체적인 국악 흥미 점수가 향상되었다. 이러한 결과는 주제중심 통합교육을 적용한 국악 수업이 고등학생의 국악 흥미 전반에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤음을 추정하게 한다. 하위 요인별 흥미도의 변화를 보면 다음과 같다. 주제중심 통합교육을 적용한 국악 수업 이후에 흥미의 하위 요소인 흥미 점수가 유의미하게 향상되었다. 흥미 점수가 향상된 이유는 새로운 수업 방식에 호감과 흥미를 느꼈다는 학생들과의 면담 내용에서 추정할 수 있었다. 이에 따라 주제중심 통합수업이라는 새로운 방식의 국악 수업은 학생들에게 선호 감정을 불러일으켜 흥미에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다고 할 수 있다. 흥미의 하위 요소인 태도 점수 또한 유의미하게 향상되었다. 태도 점수가 향상된 이유는 다양한 교과가 연계되는 활동으로 수업에 더 적극적으로 참여할 수 있었다는 학생들과의 면담 내용에서 추정할 수 있었다. 이로써 고등학생의 국악 수업에 있어 다양한 활동이 학생의 참여도 및 태도에 중요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 흥미의 하위 요소인 가치 점수가 유의미하게 향상되었다. 가치 점수가 향상된 이유는 맥락 속에서 설명되는 국악의 배경과 설명 때문일 것이라고 면담 내용을 통해 추측할 수 있다. 무언가의 가치를 알기 위해서는 그 분야에 대한 사전지식이 필요하다. 주제중심 통합교육은 하나의 맥락 속에서 다양한 정보를 제공하여 학습자의 지식을 구체화하는 데 도움을 준다. 따라서 국악은 어렵다고 인식한 고등학생들이 이 수업을 통해 국악을 쉽게 이해하였고, 결과적으로 학생들이 국악의 가치를 아는데에도 긍정적인 영향을 끼쳤음을 유추할 수 있었다. ;The purpose of the study is to investigate the effect of integrated theme-based Korean traditional music teaching on high school student’s music interest. For this purpose, the class was made to 30 high school students who had not experienced integrated theme-based Korean traditional music teaching. The change of music interest before and after the class was measured by a examination. Assessment tool was composed by interest’s sub-factors, interest, attitude and value. Data analysis was accomplished by t-test, using statistic program SPSS Ver. 22.0. The results this study can be summarized as follows; First, after applicating integrated theme-based Korean traditional music teaching, the overall music interest score of student was increased. This result can be seen as integrated theme-based Korean traditional music teaching affect positively toward overall music interest of high school students. Second, after applicating integrated theme-based Korean traditional music teaching, ‘interest,’ sub-factor of interest, was increased. As a result, a new teaching method, integrated theme-based teaching, caused preference to Korean music of students. This can be estimated the new method affect positively toward ‘interest.’ Third, after applicating integrated theme-based Korean traditional music teaching, ‘attitude’ was increased, which is sub-factor of interest. It can be seen that increased ‘interest’ by integrated theme-based teaching may affect to ‘attitude’ also. This study is in line with several previous studies in terms of the fact that creating activities connected to other subjects have an positive effect on class participation. The fact that various activities are important in Korean music class of high school students can be assumed with this study. Fourth, after applicating integrated theme-based Korean traditional music teaching, ‘value’ was increased, which is sub-factor of interest. To know the real value of something, we need prior knowledge of the thing. Integrated theme-based teaching helps learners to specificate the knowledge by providing diverse information within sole context. High school students who previously had prejudice that Korean traditional music is unfamiliar and difficult thing can have clear knowledge about Korean traditional music, which can be assumed that integrated theme-based teaching affect positively on ‘value.’ Furthermore. this result show that integrated theme-based Korean traditional music teaching affects on not only just interest but on student’s continuous interest and may make Korean traditional music as part of life, if this new teaching method can be held in long term.
