해체적 관점에서 본 경쟁사회를 주제로 한 무용창작작품「형(形)으로부터의 도피」에 관한 연구

Abstract

오늘날의 사회는 급격한 경제성장과 발달된 과학기술로 인하여 산업화를 이루었으며, 이에 따라 현대인들은 물질적인 풍요로움을 얻고 편리한 삶을 살게 되었다. 그러나 기술의 발전에 따른 기계화, 자동화는 사람들로 하여금 편리함과 풍요로움 속에서 끊임없는 경쟁의 삶을 살도록 이끌었고, 이는 사람들의 내면으로부터 불안, 강박과 같은 심리적 문제를 야기시켰다. 따라서 연구자는 사회구조로 인해 잃어가는 삶에 대한 진정한 가치와 심리적인 현상을 통하여 현대인들이 겪게 되는 문제점을 지적하고 이를 극복하기 위해 탈현상적 방법으로 접근하여 해체적 시각의 필요성을 알리고자 하였다. 본 연구는 해체적 관점에서 본 경쟁사회를 주제로 한 무용창작작품「형(形)으로부터의 도피」(2018)에 대한 분석으로 이루어졌다. 주제 및 내용, 공간사용 및 장면별 구성, 무용수의 이동경로와 움직임, 오브제의 의미를 통하여 작품의 주제를 부각시킬 수 있도록 안무하였으며, 무대공간을 설정하고 상징적 의미를 갖는 오브제를 사용하여 현대인의 심리변화를 시각적으로 나타내는 동시에 효과적으로 전달하고자 하였다. 경쟁사회에서 겪게 되는 심리적 문제로부터 벗어나 자유롭고 조화로운 삶을 살기위해 필요한 해체적 관점의 긍정적 의미를 나타내는 내용으로 총 세 장으로 구성하여 작품을 전개하였다. 작품의 1장에서는 경쟁사회에서 반복적인 삶을 살아가는 현대인들의 모습과 사회구조로부터 받는 압박과 억압으로 인해 생겨나는 심리적 불안과 강박적인 행동을 나타내었다. 이를 위해 조명을 사용하여 공간의 범위를 제한하고 그 안에서 현대인들의 강박적이고 기계적인 모습을 나타내었고, 기계 효과음을 음악으로 사용하면서 오브제를 응시하거나 두드리는 동작을 반복하여 구사함으로써 불안한 심리를 강조하였다. 또한 오브제의 형태를 계속해서 변화시키는 과정을 통해 강박적인 행동과 끊임없이 경신되는 목표의 의미를 담아내었다. 2장에서는 목표를 달성하면서 성공에 가까워졌음에도 불구하고 행복하지 않은 자신의 모습을 발견하고 혼란스러워하는 인간의 모습을 나타내었다. 무거운 힘에 눌린 듯 팔을 비틀어들거나 어깨를 과장하는 움직임을 사용하여 강박으로 인해 통제되는 모습을 표현하였고, 테이블 위에 덮어두었던 의상을 흐트러뜨려 외부와 내부 사이의 갈등을 나타내었다. 또한 제한된 공간으로부터 벗어나 직사각형의 조명을 시계방향으로 순차적으로 비춰 공간사용을 확장시켜 시간이 지남에 따라 강박적인 심리와 불완전함 사이에서 혼란이 심화되는 상황을 연출하였다. 공간이 점차 확장될 때 직선과 곡선의 움직임을 교차시켜 반복하고, 높낮이와 방향을 달리하는 움직임을 불규칙하게 배치하여 긴장감 있는 분위기와 혼란스러운 심리상태를 나타내었다. 3장에서는 해체적 시각을 통해 자신의 삶에 대한 진정한 가치를 깨닫고 사회와 현상에 대한 관점을 재인식하게 되는 긍정적 모습을 표현하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 2장에서 내면의 영역으로 설정하였던 무대중앙을 3장에서 다시 사용하여 동일한 상황에서 내면의 상태가 변화하는 모습을 보여주었다. 주체적이고 발전적으로 변화된 내면의 상황을 사각조명 안에 맞춰 놓았던 테이블을 무용수가 스스로 쓰러뜨리는 움직임을 사용하여 연출하였다. 이 과정에서 무용수는 자유로운 곡선의 이동경로와 물결모양을 그리는 움직임을 통해 조화롭고 안정적인 상태로 변화된 모습을 나타내었다. 또한 팔과 어깨를 과장하여 신체를 테이블에 지탱한 채 다리를 조명의 경계선 밖으로 멀리 내딛거나 발끝으로만 바닥을 지탱한 채 테이블에 불안정하게 앉아있는 움직임을 통해 스스로 질서와 체계, 안정감으로부터 벗어나고자 하는 탈현상적 자세에 대한 강한 의지를 보여주었다. 끝으로 테이블의 형태를 마름모로 변화시키고 비정형의 미러지가 무대 밖에서 유입되는 장면을 연출하여 탈현상적 접근을 통한 다양한 시각을 제시하였다. 이와 같이 연구자는 경쟁사회에서 현대인들이 겪게 되는 심리적 상황들에 문제의식을 갖고 해체적 관점을 통하여 바라본 경쟁사회를 주제로 무용창작작품「형(形)으로부터의 도피」를 창작하여 현상에 대한 해체적 시각의 중요성을 강조하면서 주체적 삶에 대한 진정한 가치를 찾고, 이를 통해 조화롭고 자유로운 삶을 살아갈 수 있음을 인식시키고자 하였다. ; Society today has been industrialized by rapid economic growth and advanced scientific technology, and modern people acquired material affluence and led them to live convenient lives. However, mechanization and automation according to the development of technology led people to live a life of constant competition in convenience and affluence, and this caused psychological problems as anxiety and compulsion from the inside of people. Therefore, this study intended to indicate the true value of life that people lose due to social structure and problems faced by modern people through psychological phenomenon and to inform the necessity of deconstructive point of view by approaching in deconstructive method to overcome these problems. This study analyzed 「An Escape from Shapes」(2018), the newly choreographed work on competitive society from deconstructive point of view. It was choreographed to give prominence to the topic through topic, content, use of space, composition by scene, movement of dancers, and meaning of an objet, and intended to give a visual representation and deliver psychological changes of modern people effectively using objet with symbolic meaning. The work has been developed in three chapters on the positive meaning of deconstructive point of view needed to live a free and harmonious life away from psychological problems that people encounter in competitive society. Part 1 is on the appearance of modern people living repetitive lives in competitive society and psychological anxiety and compulsive behavior caused by pressure and oppression from the social structure. To this end, it limited the range of space with lighting and represented compulsive and mechanical image of modern people inside, and emphasized anxiety by using mechanical sound effect and repeating the motion of staring or tapping the objet. Also, it contained obsessive behavior and the meaning of goal that gets updated constantly through the process of constantly changing the shape of objet. Part 2 represented the image of people getting confused when they find themselves unhappy even though they are close to success by achieving their goals. An image of being under control by compulsion was expressed using a movement of twisting an arm or exaggerated movement of shoulders as if they are under heavy pressure, and represented a conflict between the outside and the inside by scattering clothes on the table. Also, it created a situation of becoming more confused between obsessive mind and imperfection over time by sequentially shooting a rectangular lighting clockwise out of limited space. A tense atmosphere and confused state of mind were represented by crossing and repeating the movement of straight lines and curves and arranging movements that vary in height and direction irregularly as space gradually expands. Part 3 intended to express positive appearance of realizing the true value of life and recognizing viewpoints on society and phenomenon through deconstructive point of view. To this end, part 2 showed an image of changed inner condition in the same situation by using center of the stage that was set as the inside of a person again. Self-reliant and progressively changed inner condition was expressed through the movement of a dancer knocking down a table that was placed under square lighting. Then, the dancer represented an image that changed in harmonious and stable condition through the path of free curves and movement of drawing waves. Also, strong intention for deconstructive posture of trying to get out of order, system, and stability was expressed through the movement of supporting the body on a table and putting a leg far out of the boundary of lighting by exaggerating the movement of arms and shoulders or sitting unstably on a table by standing on the floor on tiptoe. Lastly, various perspectives were produced through deconstructive approach by directing a scene of changing the shape of a table into diamond and atypical mirror flowing in from outside the stage. As said, the researcher intended to find the true value of independent life by creating 「An Escape from Shapes」, the newly choreographed work on competitive society from deconstructive point of view with a critical mind about the psychological situations that modern people experience in competitive society for people to recognize that they can live harmonious and free life.
