Abstract

베토벤(Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827)은 고전시대를 대표하는 독일의 작곡가로, 고전시대의 형식과 양식을 계승하고, 발전시킨 동시에 낭만시대로의 길을 열어주어 고전시대와 낭만시대를 연결시킨 교량적 역할을 한 중요한 작곡가이다. 따라서 그의 작품은 시대의 변화에 따라 특성을 달리하고 있으며, 일관된 발전과정을 거치며 서양음악사의 발전과 후대의 여러 작곡가들에게도 많은 영향을 끼쳤다. 5개의 첼로 소나타 중 <Beethoven Cello Sonata No.3 in A Major, Op.69>는 그 이전인 제 1기에 작곡한 소나타들과 달리 1807-1808년도에 작곡되어 3개 악장으로 구성되어 있는데, 1악장의 소나타 형식, 2악장의 스케르초-트리오의 복합 3부형식, 3악장은 느린 서주가 붙인 소나타 형식을 도입하여, 전통적인 형태를 유지하면서도 자유로움을 추구하였다. 또 기교적인 부분과 넓은 음역대를 사용하여 첼로의 독주 악기로서의 다양한 가능성을 보여주는 곡이다. 본 논문에서는 베토벤의 5개의 첼로 소나타의 구성과 특징에 대해 살펴보고 그 중에서 가장 유명하고 많이 연주되는 3번 소나타를 심층적으로 분석하여 베토벤의 음악의 특징과, 시대적 배경, 음악적 기법에 따른 악곡의 구조를 이해하여 그를 통해 실질적인 연주의 해석과 표현에 도움을 주는데 그 목적이 있다.;Ludwig van Beethoven is the preeminent German composer of the classical era who inherited and developed the form and style from the classical era to the romantic era. He played an important role in bridging those two periods. For this reason, his works showed different characteristics as the times changed and influenced many composers of western music history. <Beethoven Cello Sonata No.3 in A Major, Op.69> of the five cello sonatas was composed in 1807-1808, and unlike the other works from the first period, the third sonata was composed of three movements. The first movement is the sonata form, the second movement is three parts form of Scherzo-Trio, and the third movement is the sonata form with a slow introduction. Beethoven described the freedom of the romantic era while maintaining the traditional form of the classical era. This Sonata also shows the diverse potential of Cello as a solo instrument in terms of using the wide range and virtuosic techniques. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the composition and features of Beethoven's five cello sonatas and to provide a musical composition beneficial for the interpretation and expression of an actual performance by understanding the features of Beethoven's music, the structure of the musical composition by the musical technique, and historical background.
