Abstract

본 논문은 본인의 석사과정 졸업연주 프로그램인 요한 세바스티안 바흐(Johann Sebastian Bach, 1685-1750)의 『French Suite No. 6 in E Major, BWV. 817』, 볼프강 아마데우스 모차르트(Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, 1756-1791)의 『Piano Sonata in E-Flat Major, K. 282』, 로베르트 슈만(Robert Alexander Schumann, 1810-1856)의 『Kreisleriana, Op. 16』, 클로드 드뷔시(Claude-Achille Debussy, 1862-1918)의 『Deux Arabesques, L. 66』에 대하여 작곡가의 생애와 작품의 특징을 연구한 것이다. 바흐의 『French Suite No. 6 in E Major, BWV. 817』는 바로크 시대의 기악곡 형식인 춤모음곡이다. 바흐는 건반악기를 위한 춤모음곡으로 「French Overture」 이외에 6곡으로 묶인 「Partita」, 「English Suite」, 「French Suite」을 작곡하였다. 『French Suite No. 6 in E Major, BWV. 817』는 그의 여섯 개의 프랑스 모음곡 중 가장 마지막 곡으로 8곡의 춤곡으로 구성되어있다. Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Gigue의 기본 악장과 Gavotte, Polonaise, Menuet, Bourrée의 선택악장으로 이루어져 프랑스 모음곡 중 가장 악장의 수가 많다. 모차르트의 『Piano Sonata in E-Flat Major, K. 282』는 그의 제1기 작품의 6개의 초기 소나타 곡 중 네 번째 곡으로 1774년에 작곡되었다. 이 곡은 빠름-느림-빠름의 전형적인 고전주의 소나타와 다르게 서정적이고 느린 아다지오의 제1악장으로 시작하는 것이 특징이다. 제2악장은 두 개의 미뉴에트, 제3악장은 소나타 알레그로 형식으로 이루어져있다. 슈만의 『Kreisleriana, Op. 16』는 낭만주의 시대의 작곡가 겸 작가로 활동하던 E. T. A. 호프만(E. T. A. Hoffmann, 1776-1882)의 소설 「숫고양이 무어의 인생관(Lebens-Ansichten des Katers Murr)」으로부터 영감을 받아 작곡된 작품으로 8개의 곡들로 이루어진 모음곡이다. 이 곡은 다양한 음악적 지시어와 슈만 내면의 이중자아인 오이제비우스와 플로레스탄의 성격이 나타난다. 드뷔시의 『Deux Arabesques, L. 66』는 1888년에 드뷔시가 처음으로 발표한 피아노곡으로 인상주의 음악 사조의 초기 형태가 나타나는 작품이다. 그는 아랍의 장식 무늬인 아라베스크 문양을 음악으로 표현하였으며, 조성적인 틀 안에서 온음계, 비화성음, 그리고 병진행 등을 자유롭게 사용하여 작곡하였다.;This program annotation is a study of 『French Suite No. 6 in E Major, BWV. 817』 composed by Johann Sebastian Bach(1685-1750), 『Piano Sonata in E-Flat Major, K. 282』 composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), 『Kreisleriana, Op. 16』 composed by Robert Alexander Schumann(1810-1856), and 『Deux Arabesques』 composed by Claude-Achille Debussy(1862-1918) performed in my graduation recital for a master's degree. Bach's 『French Suite No. 6 in E Major, BWV. 817』 is a dance suite of Baroque era. There are four dance movements: Allemande, Courante, Sarabande and Gigue, and four optional dances: Gavotte, Polonaise, Menuet and Bourrée. This piece has the largest number of dances in the collection of 「French Suite」. Bach composed 6「Partitas」, 6「English Suites」, 6「French Suites」, and a 「French Overture」 as dance suites. Mozart's 『Piano Sonata in E-Flat Major, K. 282』 is the fourth of six piano sonatas which was written during his first compositional period. It was composed in 1774. This sonata's first movement starts with lyrical and slow “Adagio” in sonata form, unlike the typical first movement, “Allegro.” The second movement of this sonata is in the composite ternary form with Menuet Ⅰ, Ⅱ. And the third movement is in sonata-allegro form. Schumann's 『Kreisleriana, Op. 16』 was inspired by the satirical novel “The Life and Opinions of the Tomcat Murr” from Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann(1776-1822), who was a composer and writer in the Romantic era. This work was composed as a collection of eight pieces, and shows various musical expression and Schumann's inner dual personalities, Eusebius and Florestan. Debussy's 『Deux Arabesques』 is a pair of Arabesques, his first piano work. These works are published in 1888, and show an early form of Impressionist Music. Debussy used Arabesque pattern in music to create the impression of Arab architecture. He also freely used diatonic scale and non-chord tone in the definite tonality.
