한국어 표현 '기쁨'과 중국어 표현 '喜悦'에 나타난 영상 도식적 은유 양상 대비 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 인지언어학적 관점에서 한중 표현 '기쁨/喜悦'에 나타난 영상 도식적 은유 양상을 파악하고 비교하는 데에 있다. 본 연구를 통해 추상적 감정인 '기쁨'의 언어적 보편성 및 특수성을 문화적 맥락에서 검토하고자 한다. Ⅰ장에서는 연구 목적 및 필요성을 밝혔다. 연구 목적은 한중 표현 '기쁨/喜悦'에 나타난 영상 도식적 은유 양상을 파악하고 비교하는 데에 있다. 본 연구의 필요성은 선행 연구에서 한중 '기쁨/喜悦' 표현에 나타난 은유 양상에 대한 대비 연구를 검토함으로서 확인하였다. 아울러 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 연구 대상 및 연구 방법에 대해 설명하였다. Ⅱ장에서는 본고의 이론적 배경이 되는 인지언어학적 관점에 따른 개념적 은유 이론과 영상 도식적 은유 이론에 대해 살펴보았다. 개념적 은유는 기능에 따라 구조적 은유, 존재론적 은유, 지향적 은유 3가지로 나누어졌다. 또한, 영상 도식적 은유에 대한 분류는 Peña(2003)에 따라 그릇 도식 은유, 경로 도식 은유, 부분-전체 도식 은유 3가지로 나누어 살펴보았다. 연구 목적을 고려하여 2장에서는 영상 도식적 은유 이론을 중심으로 다루었다. Ⅲ장에서는 앞에서 살펴본 이론적 배경을 토대로 한국어 표현 '기쁨'에 나타난 영상 도식적 은유 양상에 대해 살펴보았다. 이에 대해 주로 기본적인 상위층위의 영상 도식을 중심으로 부차적 하위분류까지 상세하게 다루었다. 먼저, 한국어 표현 '기쁨'에 나타난 그릇 도식 은유는 기본적으로 '그릇으로서 기쁨' 영상 도식이 나타났는데, 이의 부차적 영상 도식으로 '안-밖' 영상 도식, '가득함-텅빔' 영상 도식, '초과' 영상 도식이 있다. 또한, 한국어 표현 '기쁨'에 나타난 경로 도식 은유는 기본적으로 '전이' 영상 도식이 나타났는데, 이외에도 부차적인 영상 도식으로 '힘' 영상 도식, '과정' 영상 도식, '앞-뒤' 영상 도식, '가까움-멂' 영상 도식, '순환' 영상 도식, '수직성' 영상 도식이 나타났다. 마지막으로 한국어 표현 '기쁨'에 나타난 부분-전체 영상 도식은 '합병' 영상 도식과 '수집' 영상 도식으로 나누어 살펴보았다. Ⅳ장에서는 중국어 표현 '喜悦'에 나타난 영상 도식적 은유 양상에 대해 검토하였다. 이는 한국어 표현 '기쁨'의 분석과 마찬가지로 기본 상위층위의 영상 도식을 중심으로 부차적 하위분류까지 검토하였다. Ⅴ장에서는 앞에 Ⅲ장, Ⅳ장에서 살펴본 결과를 표로 정리하여 비교한다. 한중 표현 '기쁨/喜悦'에 나타난 영상 도식적 은유 양상의 공통점과 차이점을 비교함으로써 추상적 감정인 '기쁨'의 언어적 보편성 및 특수성을 밝힌다.;The purpose of the study is to explore and compare the image schema metaphor of the basic human emotion‘joy’in Chinese and Korean languages from the cognitive semantics point of view. Through such research to explore the universality and particularity of the basic human emotion‘joy’. The first chapter puts forward the research purpose and necessity of this paper and investigates the comparative study on the metaphorical phenomena in the expression of‘joy’in Chinese and Korean. The research necessity of this paper is further confirmed through the investigation of the previous research. Therefore, the research targets and research methods of this paper are briefly described first before the research. The second chapter introduces the theoretical background of this paper, Conceptual Metaphor Theory and Image Schema Metaphor Theory in cognitive linguistics. Conceptual metaphor is divided into three types: structural metaphor, ontological metaphor and orientational metaphor. In contrast, this paper studies the image schema metaphor as the main theoretical background. Referring to the research of Peña(2003), this paper divides image schema metaphor into container metaphor, path metaphor and part-whole metaphor. The third chapter studies the image schema metaphor of‘joy’in Korean based on the theoretical background introduced above. In this paper, the study of the image schema metaphor of‘joy’centers on the three basic categories and makes a detailed analysis of the lower categories. First of all, the container metaphor of‘joy’in Korean can be divided into‘as a container’image schema,‘in-out’image schema, and its lower classification includes the‘full-empty’image schema and the‘excess’image schema. Then, the path metaphor of‘joy’in Korean has the‘transferal’image schema, in addition, there are also‘force’image schema,‘process’image schema,‘front-back’image schema,‘near-far’image schema, ‘cyclic’ image schema and 'vertical' image schema. Finally, the part-whole metaphor of‘joy’in Korean can be divided into 'merging' image schema and ‘collecting’image schema. The forth chapter studies the image schema metaphor of‘joy’in Chinese. Similar to the previous study on Korean‘joy’, it centers on the three basic categories and also makes a detailed analysis on the lower classification. The fifth chapter collates and compares the results of the previous research on the image schema of the expression of‘joy’in Korean and Chinese. This paper discusses the universality and particularity of the emotion of abstract‘joy’by finding out the similarities and differences of the image schema expressed by‘joy’in Korean and Chinese.
