1. Introduction Purpose: the purpose of this textbook is to help Korean middle school students develop critical thinking abilities by reading Iggie’s House addressing social issues; such as racism. Target learners: 12 middle school students(grade three), mixed gender Proficiency level: CEF B1 (ACTFL Intermediate Mid) Learning context: private and group tutoring lessons(4 in each group), twice a week for 90 minutes per lesson
