머신러닝 기법을 이용한 서울시 도로 통행 속도 예측

Abstract

본 연구는 머신러닝 기법으로 서울시 강남구와 중구의 도로 통행 속도를 예측하고, 이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 알아보기 위한 논문이다. 도로 통행 속도는 기상 요인이나, 교통사고, 도로 특성 등 여러 요인에 영향을 받는다. 특히 강남구는 상업밀집지역, 주거밀집지역, 대치동 학원가 등 복합적인 특징이 있어, 혼잡하고 통행량이 많은 편이다. 이에 강남구 내 도로 데이터를 K-means로 군집화하여, 군집별 통행속도를 예측한다. 또한 해당 도로 통행 속도에 영향을 주는 변수의 차이를 알아보고자 한다. 같은 방식으로 중구 통행 속도를 예측하고, 강남구와 비교한다. 분석에 사용한 모형은 다중 선형회귀 모형, 릿지 회귀모형(Ridge Regression), 라쏘 회귀모형(Lasso Regression), 랜덤 포레스트(Random Forest), XGBoost,lightGBM으로 6가지이다. Train 데이터와 Test 데이터를 각각 7:3으로 나누어, 3-fold validation을 실시한 후 Test 데이터에서의 RMSE 값이 가장 작은 모델을 선택한다. 도로 통행 속도에 영향을 미치는 변수가 군집별로 차이가 있어, 특정 도로는 기상 상황이나 미세먼지 수치 등에 따라 도로 속도가 다른지 알아볼 것이다. 또한 강남구와 중구의 도로 통행 속도에 영향을 미치는 변수에도 차이가 있는지 살펴보도록 한다. 도로 특성 별로 속도에 영향을 주는 변수를 찾아, 이를 실시간 데이터에 적용한다면 더 정확한 도로 속도 예측이 가능할 것이다. 나아가 분석 결과를 활용해 유동적인 대중교통 배차 등의 공공정책을 수립할 수 있을 것이다. ;The purpose of the study is to predict the road speed of the Gangnam-gu and Jung-gu and develop models to find out meaningful variables which affect the road speed. The road speed is affected by several factors, such as weather factors, traffic accidents and road characteristics. Through the K-means cluster analysis, the road speed data of Gangnam-gu is grouped and prediction of the traffic speed can be made by clustering. We also want to look at the differences in variables that affect the speed of road traffic by clustering. We predict the traffic speed of Jung-gu in the same way and compare it to Gangnam-gu. There are six models used in the analysis: OLS, Ridge Regression, Rasso Regression, Random Forest, XGBoost and lightGBM. We investigate which variables make an effect on the road speed of each region by clustering and find regions whose traffics are sensitive to the weather condition or fine dust levels. We expect that there are differences in variables affect the speed of road traffic in Gangnam and Jung-gu.
