Abstract

본 논문은 연구자의 졸업연주 프로그램을 바탕으로 한 칼 마리아 폰 베버(Carl Maria von Weber, 1786-1826)의 <Fantasia and Rondo Op.34 for Clarinet and Piano>, 로버트 무진스키(Robert Muczynski, 1929-2010)의 <Time pieces for Clarinet and Piano>, 루이지 바씨(Luigi Bassi, 1766-1825)의 <G.Verdi“Rigoletto”Fantasia Di Concerto di Luigi Bassi for Clarinet and Piano>, 죠셉 호로비츠(Joseph Horovitz, b.1926)의 <Sonatina for Clarinet and piano>에 관한 연구로써 각 작곡가의 생애 및 음악적 특징을 알아보려고 한다. 칼 마리아 폰 베버의 <Fantasia and Rondo Op.34 for Clarinet and Piano>는 4개의 현악기와 클라리넷을 위하여 작곡한 실내악곡 <Clarinet quintet Op.34>의 2악장<Fansia-Adagio> 과 4악장<Rondo-Allegro giojoso>만을 발췌하여 하나의 작품으로 구성된 곡으로써 클라리넷의 넓은 음역대를 사용하여 화려하고 악상의 극적인 변화가 두드러지는 곡이다. <Time Pieces for Clarinet and Piano>는 총 4개의 악장으로 구성되어있는 곡으로써 로버트 무진스키가 활동하였던 20세기 음악경향 중 하나인 신고전주의 음악을 추구하던 무진스키만의 화음과 리듬이 드러나는 곡이다. 루이지 바씨의 <G.Verdi“Rigoletto”Fantasia Di Concerto di Luigi Bassi for Clarinet and Piano>는 몬테 베르디의 오페라‘리골레토’에 나오는 아리아의 주요선율을 바탕으로 클라리넷을 위하여 작곡된 곡으로써 오페라에서 연주되는 아리아를 어떠한 변화를 두고 작곡하였는지 알아보려고 한다. 죠셉 호로비츠의 <Sonatina for Clarinet and Piano>는 총 3악장으로 이루어져 있는 작품으로써 멜로디와 리듬을 통해 20세기 음악인 재즈적 느낌이 묻어나는 곡이다.;This study is about Master's degree recital that analyze following composers’ programs as seen in their lifetime and musical characteristics: <Fantasia and Rondo Op.34 for Clarinet and Piano> by Carl maria Von weber (1786-1826), <Time pieces for Clarinet and Piano> by Robert Muczynski (1929-2010), <G.Verdi“Rigoletto”Fantasia Di Concerto di Luigi Bassi for Clarinet and Piano> by Luigi Bassi (1766-1825), and finally <Sonatina for Clarinet and piano> by Joseph Horovitz (b.1926). <Fantasia and Rondo Op.34 for Clarinet and Piano> by Carl Maria von Weber puts together 2nd movement Fantasia-Adagio and the 4th movement Rondo excerpts from <Quintet for Clarinet and Strings>, forming into one composition. This piece shows extensive chromatic range for clarinet. It emphasize theatrical impact and elaborates unlimited feature for the solo instrument and gives dramatic change in musical themes. <Time piece for Clarinet and Piano> is a piece that implicates musical traits of Neo-Classicism, one of the music trends in the 20th century and that is when Robert Muczynski was active. The piece embeds perfect chord and hemiola rhythm, which are distinct features of Muczynski. <G.Verdi Rigoletto Fantasia Di Concerto di Luigi Bassi for Clarinet and Piano>, by Luigi Bassi is a piece composed of excerpts from aria used in Verdi’s opera, Rigoletto. In this piece, four arias and brief prelude and overture are used. From it, I seek to elucidate how clarinet and piano melodies are used to distinguish opera-derived aria from its original version. <Sonatina for Clarinet and Piano> by Joseph Horovitz is a piece that resembles formats of sonata. It is consisted of three movements. Though not explicit, the 1st movement displays sonata-like formats whereas the 2nd movement is a lyrical piece with A-B-A structured slow tempo. The 3rd movement is played in two themes where clarinet and piano are proportional in their playing and the movement distinctly features jazz-like melody and rhythm.
