Abstract

본 논문은 필자의 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주회 프로그램을 연구한 것으로 조아끼노 로시니(Gioacchino Antonio Rossini, 1792-1868), 페르난도 오브라도스(Fernando Jaumandreu Obradors, 1897-1945)의 작품들이 연구 대상이다. 본 논문에서는 두 작곡가의 생애를 살펴보고 그들의 작품에 담긴 가곡의 특징을 가사와 선율, 음악과의 관계를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 이탈리아 오페라의 대표적 작곡가인 로시니(Gioacchino Rossini, 1792-1868)는 희극적인 가사와 생동감 넘치는 음악으로 오페라 부파의 전성기를 이룩한 작곡가이다. 본 논문에서 연구한 로시니의 작품《베네치아의 곤돌라경주(La regata Veneziana)》는 3개의 곡이 하나의 이야기로 연결되는 연가곡이다. 가사는 그 지역의 언어인 베네치아 방언으로 쓰여져 토속적인 정취를 느낄 수 있다. 곡의 내용은 베네치아에서 곤돌라경주가 펼쳐지는 상황의 전개와 경주에 출전하는 연인을 향해 응원하는 안졸레타의 관점에서 그리고 있다. 반주부에서는 단순한 음형을 반복하여 사용하며 경기 상황의 진행을 나타내고, 성악 선율에서는 율동적인 붓점 리듬과 악센트 그리고 도약진행을 사용하여 안졸레타의 심리 변화를 사실적으로 표현하고 있다. 이 작품은 상승하는 성악 선율, 조성 변화, 셈여림의 변화들이 가사와 긴밀하게 연관되어 경주가 진행되는 과정을 잘 드러내고 있다. 20세기에 활동한 스페인 민족주의 작곡가인 오브라도스(Fernando Obradors, 1897-1945)의《스페인 고전 가곡(Classical Spanish Songs)》은 스페인 음악의 민속적인 특징인 멜리스마 끝에 사용된 꾸밈음, 「미」의 선법, 스페인풍의 리듬, 스페인 국민악기인 기타의 사용이 두드러지게 나타나 있다. 또한 각 곡에 사용된 반음계적 진행, 잦은 변박, 복합리듬으로 스페인만의 독창적인 분위기를 자아냈다. 특히 그는 스페인 남부의 안달루시아 지역에 정착하여 사는 집시들에 의해 만들어진 플라멩코 장르를 그의 작품에 많이 사용하였다.《스페인 고전 가곡(Classical Spanish Songs)》에서는 플라멩코를 연상시키는 춤의 동작과 피아노 반주부에 기타 주법을 응용하여 작품을 만들었다. ;The purpose of this study is to review researcher’s graduation performance programs for a master degree. The performance programs are Gioacchino Rossini’s (1792-1868) and Fernando Obradors’(1897-1945) works. This study examines their lives and the characteristics of their works in terms of the relations among lyrics, melodies and music. Gioacchino Rossini (1792-1868) representing the Italian opera was a composer who brought into vogue the opera buffa with the comic script and the vigorous music. Rossini’s work 《La Regata Veneziana》reviewed by this study is a love song consisting of 3 pieces linked to a single story or theme. The lyrics are written in the Venetian dialect, and thus, we can feel a native atmosphere for it. The work develops from Anzolreta’s perspective. The gondola game develops into a climax, while she cheers up her lover who is participating in the game. This study analyzes the work centering around the relevance between lyrics and music. At the accompaniment part, the simple motif is used repeatedly to indicate the progression of the game, and at the vocal melody, the cadenced dotted rhythm, the accent and the leap progression are used to express Anzolreta’s emotional change realistically. This work is closely associated with the lyrics in terms of rising vocal melody, changing chords and dynamics only to reveal the progression of the game. Fernando Obradors (1897-1945) who was active in the 20th century was a Spanish nationalistic composer. His 《Classical Spanish Songs》 feature the folklore elements of the Spanish music in terms of ornaments used at the end of the melisma, mode of aesthetics, Spanish rhythm, use of the Spanish national instrument or guitar, etc. In addition, such attributes of each piece as chromatic progression, frequently varying beats and composite rhythm are combined well to create a unique Spanish atmosphere, while the guitar technique applied to the piano accompaniment expresses the Spanish sense of color. Especially, he used, for his works, the genre of flamenco made by the Gypsy who had been settled in Andalusia, a Southern part of Spain, As for his 《Classical Spanish Songs》, he used the dance motions reminiscent of flamenco, and he applied to its piano accompaniment the guitar playing styles.
