대학생의 성인애착과 거부민감성이 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향

Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to identify the direct effects of adult attachment(attachment anxiety, attachment avoidance) and indirect effects through rejection sensitivity on interpersonal problems among undergraduate students. A total of 237 undergraduate students (85 males and 152 females) participated in this study. They completed the self-report questionnaire that included measures of adult attachment, rejection sensitivity and interpersonal problems. Data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 program and AMOS 21.0 program. The main results of this study were as follows: First, undergraduate students’attachment avoidance had a direct effects on interpersonal problems. Students who had higher levels of attachment avoidance experienced more interpersonal problems. In contrast, attachment anxiety did not have a significant direct effect on interpersonal problems. Second, undergraduate students’attachment anxiety had an indirect effect on interpersonal problems through rejection sensitivity. Students who had higher levels of attachment anxiety had higher levels of rejection sensitivity, and they experienced more interpersonal problems. In contrast, attachment avoidance did not have a significant indirect effect on interpersonal problems through rejection sensitivity. This study confirmed that there were differences in the effects of attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance on interpersonal problems through rejection sensitivity. Based on the results from this study, it would be important to further develop counseling programs to help reduce the interpersonal problems of undergraduates who had higher levels of attachment anxiety.;본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 성인애착이 대인관계문제에 미치는 직접적 영향과 거부민감성을 통한 간접적 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 남녀 대학생 237명(남학생 85명, 여학생 152명)을 대상으로 질문지법을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 대학생의 성인애착을 측정하기 위해 Brennan, Clark와 Shaver(1998)가 제작하고 Fraley, Brennan과 Waller(2000)가 개정한 친밀한 관계에서의 경험-개정판(Experience of Close Relationship-Revised [ECR-R])을 국내에서 김성현(2004)이 번안 및 타당화한 척도를 사용하였다. 대인관계문제는 홍상황 등(2002)이 타당화한 한국판 대인관계문제검사 원형척도-단축형(Short Form of the Korean Inventory of Interpersonal Problems Circumplex Scale [KIIP-SC])을 사용하여 측정하였다. 거부민감성은 Levy, Ayduk과 Downey(2001)의 거부민감성 모델에 근거하여 박명진과 양난미(2017)가 국내에서 개발 및 타당화한 거부민감성 척도(The Rejection Sensitivity Questionnaire Scale [RSQ])를 사용하여 측정하였다. 수집한 자료는 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 상관관계 분석을 실시한 뒤, AMOS 21.0 프로그램으로 구조방정식모형(Structural Equation Modeling [SEM])을 설정하여 변인 간의 구조적 관계와 부트스트래핑(bootstrapping)방법을 이용하여 간접효과의 유의성을 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 성인애착이 대인관계문제에 미치는 직접적 영향을 살펴보면, 애착불안은 대인관계문제에 영향을 미치지 않았으나, 애착회피는 대인관계문제에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 즉, 애착회피가 높을수록 대학생이 대인관계문제를 더 많이 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생의 성인애착이 거부민감성을 통해 대인관계문제에 영향을 미치는 간접적인 경로와 관련하여, 애착불안이 거부민감성을 통해 대인관계문제에 미치는 간접적인 경로가 유의하였다. 즉, 애착불안이 높을수록 거부민감성이 높았으며, 거부민감성이 높을수록 대인관계문제도 높았다. 이러한 간접효과는 통계적으로 유의하였다. 애착회피는 거부민감성을 통해 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향이 유의하지 않았다. 본 연구는 대학생의 성인애착이 거부민감성을 통해 대인관계문제에 미치는 경로를 살펴봄으로써, 애착불안과 애착회피가 거부민감성 및 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향과 경로에 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 대인관계문제를 겪는 대학생을 대상으로 애착불안과 애착회피 수준을 살펴본 뒤, 거부민감성을 고려하여 긍정적인 대인관계를 형성 및 유지할 수 있도록 도울 수 있는 상담프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
