세월호 참사 단원고 생존자의 외상 후 성장

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 세월호 참사 단원고 생존자가 사고 이후 어떠한 삶을 살아왔고 외상 후 성장 경험은 무엇인지 시간의 흐름에 따라 살펴보며 질적연구방법 사례연구를 통해 깊이 있게 탐색하고 이해하고자 하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 연구 참여에 동의한 세월호 참사 단원고 생존자 7명을 심층 면담하여 자료를 수집하고 질적 사례연구 방법을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과에서 각 사례에 대한 기술과 사례 간 공통적으로 나타난 주제를 찾아 세월호 참사 단원고 생존자의 외상 후 성장 과정과 경험의 의미를 기술하고 해석하였다. 주제별 분석 결과에서 도출된 주제는‘잊을 수 없는 하루’, ‘살아남은 자의 고통’,‘사고로 달라진 우리’, ‘일상으로 복귀’, ‘편견과 아픔에 맞서 고군분투하기’, ‘남아있는 아픔을 안고 성장을 향해 나아감’으로 나타났다. 중심주제는 ‘소용돌이를 헤쳐 나와 성숙해진 삶’인 것으로 드러났다. 본 연구는 세월호 참사 단원고 생존자가 외상 이후 변화된 삶은 무엇인지, 변화된 삶에 어떻게 대처하고 성장하면서 이 경험이 세월호 참사 단원고 생존자의 삶에 어떻게 투영되었는지 심층적 의미를 탐구하였다는 데 의의가 있다. 마지막으로 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 재난피해자를 지원하는 데 필요한 사회복지적 차원의 실천적, 정책적 함의와 후속연구를 위한 제언을 하였다. ;The purpose of this study is to explore and understand deeply through a case study of qualitative research methods by looking over time at what life the survivors of Danwon High School in the sewol ferry disaster have been living since the accident and what their experience of post-traumatic growth is. To this end, seven survivors of Danwon High School in the Sewol Ferry Disaster who agreed to participate in the research were interviewed in depth to collect data and analyze them through qualitative case study methods. The study found a common theme between the describing of each case and the cases, describing and interpreting the meaning of post-traumatic growth process and experience of survivors of Danwon High School in the sewol ferry disaster. Subjects derived from the analysis results by subject were "Unforgettable day," "The Pain of the Survivor," "We Are Changed into Accidents," "Return to Daily Life," "Struggling against prejudice and pain," and "Advanced Towards Growth with Remaining Pain." It turned out that the central theme is “Life matured to overcome the whirlpool” The study is meaningful in that survivors of Danwon High School during the sewol ferry disaster explored the deep meaning of how the experience was reflected in life and how life changed after the trauma. Finally, based on these results, the researcher made suggestions for practical and policy implications and follow-up research on the social welfare level needed to support disaster victims.
