Abstract
The author engages in practical theological reflection on her ministry experience with a fourth-grade boy and his family. A thick description of the experience is placed in interdisciplinary conversation with constructivist psychology, self-determination theory, positive psychology, postcolonial theology, and practical theologies of children and families. This leads to a self-reflective reframing of the author’s practical theology of pastoral ministry. © 2019, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.
